Oh, what's this? I tell you all that Tulisa won't be a disaster as everyone insisted when she was announced and that half of you will be converted to her just an episode in? And I somehow turn out to be RIGHT? Well, whoever saw that one coming?

Kelly, Tulisa and Gary we're all brilliant judges imo - fiesty, honest, opinionated, everything that judges should be!

I really thought I would miss Simon and Cheryl but after only 1 episode I'm not too bothered.

Roll on episode 2!

Oh and I hope Louis gets the girls this year, I mean this is his 8th year and he still hasn't had them. To give him groups or overs again is crazy (even though I don't particularly like him)

I would go =

Louis - Girls

Kelly - Groups

Gary - Boys

Tulisa - Overs

Louis hasn't had the girls for a reason (all the other judges, even Gary, would give them better song choices and would be a better mentor for them) Louis is nearing his 60s so wouldn't know a thing about modern music (he didn't know who Tulisa or N-Dubz were until she was a judge lol)
Great show. I was VERY surprised. The only weak link as it's been year after year is Louis Walsh. I will never like that man. He's ruining a really strong panel and I think we could be in for a decent series based on talent alone this year *fingers crossed*

I'd be surprised if the categories didn't go like this!

Tulisa - Girls

Kelly - Boys

Gary - Groups

Louis - Over 25s

There was one standout for me last night and that was the girl from Northern Ireland.
Really liked the show and i didn't miss any of the old judges, not even Dannii. Wish they got rid of Louis as well, despite the hilarious moment in his introduction with the fire.
Hmmmm, just caught up. Kelly Rowland is nothing short of amazing. I agreed with everything Gary was saying, however he needs to tone down his Simon impression because it seems quite forced. Tulisa was quite good too, she certainly handled herself well with that prick at the end. I can't quite believe she's actuallyr related to the VILE Dappy by blood. Louis was Louis.

The new panel is amazing! Gary was the one I was most concerned with and he proved me wrong :D

I think the old panel became too stale, and this is just the shot in the arm the show needed.

Goldie Cheung is the current QoL, closely followed by Kelly Rowland.

That awful Triple Trouble chav was a nice closure

Oh and Tulisa is a skank. N-Dubz who?

Loved Kelly Rowland, great addition to the panel, I think she is/will become my favourite X Factor judge of them all. Gary was also quite good, hard shoe's to fill but he's going to be a really good judge.

The only catastrophic disaster in choosing catergories would be Gary having the groups, I can see him trying to turn them all into Take That-lite and giving them cliche songs. I don't want him to have the girls either because (this sounds a bit stupid but still) they're always my favourites and I don't want my least favourite judge to mentor them. Tulisa will be best for the groups, the reason a group doesn't win is because they're always dated and cliche, and that's why the 'lesser' judges (ie Louis) get them. Same with Over 25s, they have a stigma so they were given to Louis, Dannii or (when she was there) Sharon. Yet as soon as the groups have a chance (One Direction), Simon gets them. But I think Tulisa would make sure we have some urban type groups that would stand out and actually have a chance of winning.

EDIT: Bootcamp song spoilers:

On the first day, they had the choice of:

Price Tag (Jessie J)

Forget You (Cee-Lo)

You Got The Love (Candi Staton/Florence & The Machine)

Firework (Katy Perry)

Born This Way (Lady Gaga)

Break Even (The Script)

What a cliched song list!

And on the second day, after the usual cull:

Grenade

Rolling in the Deep

One

Cry Me Out

Edge of Glory

Angel

Better

Cannonball

Dynamite

Feelin Good

Kiss From A Rose

Nobody Knows

Skinny Love

Unfaithful

When Love Takes Over

I wouldn't surprised if The Edge Of Glory was this year's MYFML, obviously on a smaller scale. Also, would that be Better by BOYZONE :/

Which 'Angel' is that? There's loads of songs called that. I assume the Sarah McLachlan one. Oh and what a predictable list of songs, I hope they perform some interesting songs in the final...

Just watched a few minutes on the repeat and switched off. For everyone who hated George (and he was detestable) remember - the producers put him through to the auditions stages because he was what they believe is 'good' tv.

I honestly don't think anything's changed its still a load of old rubbish. And what is Gary Barlow wearing on his head? I know he has to try and be a clone of Simon but does he have to take on the silly hair-cut too? He should just bald with grace. Being a baldie hasn't done Patrick Stewart any harm.

Not sure, it didn't say the artists, but I'd assume it's the one by

Sarah McLachlan as it's very X-Factor

.

It wouldn't surprise me to see 'Skinny Love' be this year's MYFML, Birdy's version was big but not quite the top five hit and huge seller that it could have been. I'll bet my worldly goods on Janet singing it at some point and sending it back to at least the top 40...

I'd love for Better to be this year's MYFML though, I do have a shamefully massive love for the Boyzone version and always felt that it was criminally underrated!
