I think that the producers have chosen wisely there. Especially with three brand new judges

it allows them to get used to the X Factor mentoring and stuff. Plus they are playing to their strengths which should result in some brilliant song choices and them gaining some confidence thus improving the show further next year.

but the best news here is that Sinitta will still be involved in the show :cheer:

Louis apparently initally had Adele down as helping him choose but was 'forced' to work with Sinitta instead!

Nice to see Louis going somewhere other than Ireland, and also him not getting either of the two (sure-to-be) best categories. I'm also over the moon that Kelly's got the girls! I think she'll be great with that category, who will surely be the most nervous. I'm also glad Gary got the boys rather than groups, as I think he'll do well (and basically be Simon without a favourite - who I hate to say it, but always did well with the boys.

Louis lumbered with the group that's never going to win again then  (and possibly the 'joke' act in Gloria!) I am glad Tulisa got the groups though, as I said before, I think she would make them a bit different and current than the inevitable Westlife clones that Louis and Gary would've done

Audition spoiler tonight:

The X Factor judges are blown away by an audtionee's emotional performance of Adele's 'Someone Like You' during tonight's show.

Scottish singer Jade, 21, is supported at her audition by her grandmother, who she tells host Dermot O'Leary that she has an "amazing relationship" with.

"My gran is one of my main inspirations for singing," she explains. "Singing runs in my family and my gran was a singer.

"She worked in working men's clubs, but she had to work really hard for her money and it wasn't obviously that much. She's influenced the kind of music that I like to sing and she's such an inspirational person."

Telling the judging panel about her "biggest supporter", Jade says: "My gran's quality. She's really nice. She used to be a singer as well, so that's sort of where I got my influence from; she's influenced me in a big way. She just encourages me all the time, supports everything I do."

Following her performance of Adele's chart-topping ballad, an "emotional" Kelly Rowland tells the young singer; "I whispered to Gary before you started singing, if this audition goes the way I think it goes, it's going to be amazing, because I had a dream, this is crazy, you're all not going to believe me, I have been thinking about this song all weekend, and the fact that you came here and stood on that X and sang that song, so beautifully, it's amazing.

"Oh my god, you have the X Factor and then some."

While Louis Walsh heaps praise on Jade for her "god-given talent", Take That star Gary Barlow tells her that the performance "is going to change [her] life".

Coming off stage, Jade comments: "It means everything; I just want to make my family proud of me."

The X Factor continues tonight at 8.15pm on ITV1.

"the winner of The X Factor 2011 IS...." :D

Sounds like this week's sob story then. Boring. I'm not interested in anyone singing that song no matter how good the performance is.

I would probably be more interested if this hadn't been done a million times before :( and singing THAT song, I can already tell she's not that original...

I don't know why, or what the point of it is, but I'm reluctant to read any spoilers in this thread. Now for a non-reality show I'd say that was justified, but I'm just feeling apprehensive about reading any spoilers. Haven't looked at what the categories are, for example.

Looking forward to the show tonight in any case. I have worked out that someone is

singing Someone Like You. Don't know why I did this, since I saw it in the iTunes, thread, but whatever

I'm hoping we see some more good ones tonight, because I've yet to get really excited about any so far. Misha and Janet are the only ones, due to the editing, that have stood out at all.

David Wilder 4 yeses, are the judges serious  I arrest my case :drama:
haha, Bowie would be LIVID if he watched that back!

David Wilder was amazing. Everybody wants to be a little bit more like David Wilder indeed.

Quick. Somebody post BAIL for Miku's case.

I am so going on this show, if all I have to do is 'want a kiss off Kelly and/or Tulisa' - I'm auditioning next time FOR SURE.

AWWW THIS CHILD LIKES TULISA SO WE'LL ALL SCREAM FOR HIM!

Despise this kid already  He's not even that good and he looks like he has a few brain cells missing.

Shouted it all. Didn't like his voice at all, was extremely strained. And the whole 'I love you Tulisa' thing is f***ing annoying.
