I see no originality in Janet whatsoever. She's basically an Irish Ellie Goulding. We already have Ellie Goulding, so why would we want someone else who is so similar? What would Janet bring to the music industry apart from the obvious Ellie comparisons. Even the Irish twang can't disguise this fact.

Likewise Amelia is just a mni Christina Aguilera. Yes, she does have a MUCH better vocal range than Janet but just how original can Amelia potentially be? I just don't see it and I don't think either of these girls will win The X Factor.

For me it's all about Jade. She's the one who I've become more interested in since the weekend.

For me its all about Sophie from the Girls, from the Overs Carolynne Pope, from the boys Jon Moss and from the groups The Keys.

I wouldn't be surprised if Louis will mould Kiltty into Lady Gaga

Janet is truly awful. Her voice cracks during every single line she sings. She has no technique whatsoever. I don't understand these generic 'organic' types who sound like syrup and look like they'd float away in a light breeze. Where the hell is the appeal?

To be honest there's nobody who's gone through to judges' homes who I think is a potential winner at the minute. There are a few though who so far have been given minimal/zero airtime who could well be good for all I know, but then the editing would suggest they're not going to make it through to the live shows anyway.

but jade's a cookie-cut adele. do we need another one of those?

It's as a I said earlier, this year really is a selection of WASHED UP NOBODIES who by their own molding or the medias have taken on watered-down personas of current musicians be it Adele, Nicki Minaj or Ellie Goulding. I genuinely don't see any of them having massive long term success.

Of course things can change as the lives progress but I distinctly remember things looking MUCH BETTER this time last year.

Doug beat me to it! Do we really want another Adele?

At the end of the day though - I think the winner will come from Kelly's group.

I must admit though - I liked the red haired girl who was in the same group of singers as Jade on Saturday night (Nicola?) Nicely understated - but she doesn't stand a chance next to a screecher and a whisperer! It seems the X-Factor judges like extremes.

Just because Jade sung an Adele song at her audition, does not make her a cookie-cut Adele. I bet if Jade hadn't sung that song, there would be no Adele comparisons at all, apart from being fat. Jade proved at bootcamp that she doesn't have a similar voice to Adele, she has more of a huskyness and almost rocky edge to her voice whereas Adele has the smooth soulful tone. Janet's voice is just a complete copy of Ellie.

Well, this is the first chance I got to post a proper comment on last night. Firstly, Chrissie, you ruined it GURL.

Anyway, with a bootcamp reject as my favourite, what do I know, but here we go with predictions:

Girls

Amelia-Lily Oliver

Janet Devlin

Holly Lepton

Sian Phillips

Melanie McCabe

Jade Richards

Sophie Habibis

Misha Bryan

Not complaining there, and I can't see anyone else from those four. Haven't seen the other 4 at all, and don't care for them. That said, I'm probably behind Misha and Janet most, due to liking their derivative artists most.

Boys

Joe Cox

Frankie Cocozza

Luke Lucas

[/b]John Wilding

Marcus Collins

Max Vickers

James Michael

Craig Colton

A rather weak category imo, especially after dumping Lascel and John Adams, who were looking the strongest. Maybe there were reasons, I don't know, but I'm not really behind anyone here. Frankie, despite not being able to sing, should be going through for simply being the strongest personality. He could improve.

Overs

Goldie Cheung

Terry Winstanley

Kitty Brucknell

Johnny Robinson

Carolynne Poole

Jonjo Kerr

Joseph Gilligan

Sami Brookes

Stronger than it looks. Sami is the standout, Goldie

I'd love to be behind but because of quitting reasons can't, seriously, does anyone not know about this now, meh, whatever

, Kitty and Johnny will probably go through despite me not seeing a THING in them.

Groups

The Keys

The Risk

Nu Vibe

The Lovettes

Girl vs Boy

2 Shoes

The Estrelles

Rhythmix

Meh. I can't tell anyone here apart. Not going to do italics because I'm not behind any of them. Couldn't care less about this disaster of a category, although hopefully Tulisa can turn it around.

So yeh, winner has to come from the girls. Can't see anyone from Gary's or Tulisa's categories challenging, and Louis' best are only in with a shot if he chooses right and gets behind Sami.

It's telling when the 4 contenders are all from the same category and all 4 have strong and valid comparisons to current artists around right now.

That's my piece.

If anyone sounds (and looks) like XTina - it's Amelia.
I agree! She has a little more control over XTina from what we've seen though. So that'll work in her favour. I can't get past the fact she's so young and has the vox to match someone like XTina.

On the Kitty note, as she was performing this weekend, I found her voice to have a rough cut to it that would be suited to pure rock songs. She should leave XF and just front her own Rock band or something. Which is probably why TEoG worked for her. GaGa has the similar roughness to her voice imo.

How many other female singers is Misha going to be compared to just because they are black. Misha has never had pink hair on the show and she clearly makes her own clothes which I doubt Nicki does-that one is reaching. Misha or Amelia to win although I can see it being Frankie or James.

Who is Louis trying to kid claiming that he thinks his group could produce a global superstar-he will clearly pick the nutjobs and the novelty acts to go to live shows.

She definitely did have pink hair, and if not pink, then purple. I hated that 'suffering' rap. It was touching, but so what? Millions of people have had the same suffering. To say that she doesn't model herself on Nicki Minaji, is quite frankly fooking STUPID. Every artist takes influence from someone else, it's only natural, but with Misha it's so bloody IN YOUR FACE. She is exactly like a Minaji clone.

Okay, I've seen 'Minaji' mentioned here more than from one person now I think. Has she changed her name or something?!

There is a boy at my workplace that's called MANOJ yet I keep slipping up and calling him MINAJ. I am evidently subconsciously RACIST to the NEPALESE RACE.

I'll be calling him Minaji next :(

This. She just goes on and on and on about herself and how hard her life has been. Why don't we just give her the record deal now? I find her very overrated, particularly on this site.

Maybe she has. The answer is hidden somewhere within Conderella's Eyes, see if you can find it :o

I dont even know who Minaji is or what a Minaji clone is. Considering you posted this comment I cant take you seriously at all.

" bet everyone on her loves her, but I hate that black girl that wants to be Nicki Minaji. She may as well just change her name. Just a complete copycat!"

Nicki is a rapper, Misha is an R&B singer that is a weak and lazy comparison.

:drama: :o

Most people will disagree but I really dislike the idea of categories. Purely because we have to have a certain amount of each category in the live final and yet, IMO the overs have more than four capable finalists (unfortunately though, Louis is their mentor :drama: ) whereas only about 2 of the groups are really worthy. But then Simon did this so that the show could be all about the judges I suppose.....

I also think that the Pop Idol route of the public cutting the last 50 down to the last 10 was much better. But then again, these days it's all about 'entertainment' so we'd still end up with Goldie, Wagner and Jedward instead of decent singers because the British public is overwhelmingly stupid.
