|So pissed!

Nicki won't go top 10 now for a while if ever! Cos when Coldplay go out, BEPs will go in! Boo....

She hasn't enough steam to bridge the gap yet between the top ten boost!

That's not a big problem for them

That's kinda like a situation with the cars and other things. People buy Mercedes only because it's Mercedes and not because they like the car. You get a good quality with the Mercedes though, in contrast to BEP...

 9. Bass Down Low (Tinie Tempah Remix) - Dev :D

That's clearly not true. The BEPs had a single last year that missed the top 40, and Don't Stop the Party has been climbing up the charts slowly. Its music video was released like a month ago. People are just hearing the song and liking it tbh (believe it or not! :o ).

I'm sure there might be some really rich kids who have the money to go and buy songs they might not like, but for the BEPs, that number certainly can't be higher than the amount that Imma Be sold (I think its sold like 60,000 or something).

Plus, their album hasn't sold very much. So there can't be that many "I'll buy anything the BEPs release" type people if their album hasn't done well.

And the only reason the BEPs are so popular now is because the past 7 years they've been releasing hit, after hit, after hit. They've constantly been putting out hits. When they've been doing that, of course people will be interested in what they're releasing next. It's just natural.

Come on Dev!!! :D

I swear, when I first saw 'Bass Down Low' on Starz TV I thought "great song, probably lucky to make top 75, though" (ala 'Backseat') and when it entered the charts at like #32 I was already happy with it's position so to now see it at #9 on iTunes is amazing!! :D

 Yeah, I can't believe this is happening. I was thinking they weren't even going to bother releasing it here at one point! :o

Yeah! Didn't it 'flop' in America? :(

Yeah. Well, certainly in comparison to Like a G6.

Gosh, Dev must love our country. :D Her, Nicole Scherzinger and Mann should all just migrate here tbh. At least we appreciate them.

On the subject of BEP, my fave is My Humps, and that is soleyl because of this cover

Haha. Sounds quite Eurovision.

I do quite love "Don't stop the party", it's the perfect song to get you in the mood before a night out :)

Thinking about it, I can't remember one single of them I didn't like. Oh yeah, "Boom boom pow" never really grew on me.

Yay! Black Eyed Peas up to #11! :)

Also, a random piece of trivia, now that we're discussing them, Where is the Love? is the first ever hip hop song to get year-end #1 in the UK (and since then, we've only had Love the Way You Lie, and Crazy, depending on how liberal you want to be). Most of the year-end #1s before that were rock songs or pop songs. There were a few urban ones, like soul and RnB, but 2003 was the first time a hip hop song did it.

What about Killing Me Softly by the Fugees? :P

Yeah. Well, certainly in comparison to Like a G6.

Even Rihanna sold more albums here than in America (at least around January, when she was dominating the singles charts as well). I remember her going on Twitter and thanking her UK fans 'cos she sold around 300K in one week (which later turned out to be a bit over-inflated). :P

Alicia Keys also had three hit singles with Element of Freedom in the UK, yet they had mixed success in other countries. For example none of them went top twenty in the US. :o

Oh yeah! :o I saw Killing Me Softly, and I thought "Oh, I know that song" and went past it. I should've still listened to it really. Or at least looked at who the artist was. I assumed it was the all singing version (which is one of the songs I was referring to when I said some RnB and soul songs got the year-end #1). I assumed the wrong version basically. :(

And another funny My Humps parody.

Yeah, that surprised me too, with Alicia Keys! :o Although Try Sleeping didn't peak top 20, but it did make the year-end top 100 in 2010. It's strange though, how well she did here. But I guess other countries don't have Heart FM playing her songs every 15 minutes. :kink: Seriously, I still hear Empire State of Mind on there all the time. Will they ever stop!? :o

Sometimes when it's an outright trash people just don't accept it :P

That's what I'm talking about B) It has just became a habit and people buy it without looking

Set Fire To The Rain  #32 :w00t: :w00t:

BEP very likely to go top 10 then with 'Dont Stop The Party', video is on non-stop on music channels, I dont mind it tbh, not exactly different is it, but it makes them a lot of money.

Really impressed with I'm Into You still being #10, and getting a 2nd week in top 10 (which will be its peak this week) out of top 10 soon, but again the video is being played a lot too and I regularly hear it on radio! :)

I remember The Lazy Song dropping out of top 10 at one point so it being at #7 still is very impressive.

Really hope we have 3 of Adele's singles in the top 40 tomorrow. Fingers Crossed! :D

Selena Gomez and The Scene - Who Says is climbing again. At this moment the single is #59.

Im so happy. Did she get some promo in the UK?

Beat of my drum  40

I know it's still pretty poor, but it's the first time it's climbing since the first days of release, hopefully it keeps going up and up and up :P

Right There #4 & #20 ( 3 places since last night before performance).

Rihanna update:

#13 - California King Bed

#45- S&M

#68 - Man Down

#77 - What's My Name
