I dispute that. Not a BIG flop. #25 with some pretty good longevity so far and probably pretty good sales for its peak isn't that bad.

I should have said 'a big flop in comparison' :kink: if that makes sense.

I think I only joined here when Rock That Body was released, so it does seem like pretty much every single the BEPs release is called "their worst ever" when it comes out.

But I don't really care. They're arguably the biggest group on the planet. I'm not alone in liking them. :D

Don't get me wrong, I like them - Don't Lie, Boom Boom Pow and I Gotta Feeling especially (although it's worn incredibly thin with the vast overplay) and in fact I bought The Beginning on its release date! But I wasn't overly taken by anything other than Just Can't Get Enough, The Time (yes I loved it :drama:) and Whenever, which I think should be the next single just because it steers them back away from that generic club sound and back into something slightly different which might be MOR enough to attract Heart and the like but still upbeat enough for the rest.

^ There's nothing wrong with liking The Time!! :D I love it too.

Although I noticed it sounds extremely like Can't Get You Out of My Head by Kylie Minogue in the last chorus.

For me, I would rate BEP singles like this:

Where Is The Love 9.5/10

Shut Up 10/10

Hey Mama 10/10

Let's Get It Started 8.5/10

Don't Phunk With My Heart 10/10

Don't Lie 9.0/10

My Humps 9.5/10

Pump It 8.5/10

Boom Boom Pow 7.5/10

I Gotta Feeling 6.5/10

Meet Me Halfway 8.5/10

Rock That Body 6.0/10

Imma Be 5.5/10

The Time (The Dirty Bit) 0.5/10

Just Can't Get Enough 5.5/10

Don't Stop The Party 3.5/10

They have fastly gone downhill for me, they didn't have a bad single for me at all back in the day though.

my humps is one of the worst songs ever, how anyone gives it anything above zero is beyond me. Hearing it makes me cringe :/

OOH A BEP RATE. LEMME BANDWAGON.

Where Is The Love? 2/10 (REALLY overrated and not very good at all)

Shut Up 9/10

Hey Mama 8/10

Let's Get It Started 9/10

Don't Phunk With My Heart 7.5/10

Don't Lie 7/10

My Humps -1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000/10 (DEATH)

Pump It 8.5/10

Boom Boom Pow 11/10 (their best by far )

I Gotta Feeling 5.5/10 (overplayed and obnoxious)

Meet Me Halfway 8/10

Rock That Body 7.5/10

Imma Be 7.5/10

The Time (Dirty Bit) 7/10

Just Can't Get Enough 7.5/10 (was potential 10/10 material but got very boring quite quickly)

Don't Stop The Party 6.5/10

But overall a very consistently good discography from Shut Up onwards, excluding My Humps and I Gotta Feeling (although IGF was about a 7.5/10 before HIDEOUS OVERPLAY DEATH KILLING MURDER MANSLAUGHTER LETHAL INJECTION occurred).

I love My Humps. I think it's generally quite popular, along with those people that very vocally hate it. I love it because it's extremely catchy and the beat is amazing. And the lyrics are really funny. :D

I'm with you in the love for MH    Did you know it spent 2 weeks at number one in Australia? If that happened here that would have been amazing  It was my fave BEP song at the time until they released BBP and IGF

Edit - In Aussie it's chart run was 1-1-2-2-2-2-2-4-6-12-14-20-22-26-45-48-x-2-x. So 2 weeks at number one and 6 weeks at number 2 (including that random week at the end)

The BEP's peaked for me with The E.N.D. When Boom Boom Pow came out I thought it was the best song ever, then I heard I Gotta Feeling and just HAD to buy the album. Shame the album was pretty boring. Meet Me Halfway was good but the first two singles were (deservedly) massive and i'll never forget those days when I used to see them on the music channels all the time. :D Those were the days. :P

bandwagon:

Where Is The Love- 9/10 (their best comfortably  )

Shut Up- 8/10 :D

Hey Mama- 8/10

Lets Get It Started 7/10

Don't Phunk With My Heart 8/10

Don't Lie 7/10

My Humps 2/10 :/

Pump It 6/10

Boom Boom Pow 6/10

I Gotta Feeling 7/10 (it would probably be higher without the overplay)

Meet Me Halfway 5/10 (overrated, I never really saw the appeal with this one)

Rock That Body 7/10 (good, but not dated very well)

Imma Be 3/10

The Time (Dirty Bit) 2/10 (oh dear  )

Just Can't Get Enough 5/10 (this got boring so quickly)

Don't Stop The Party 4/10 (a big mess really)

so yeah, they really have got progressively worse for me :( I'm surprised how much good songs they've had :o

Nicole is coming across absolutely brilliantly on Graham Norton. They're currently talking about how Nicole sang 'Don't Cha' in front of Phillip and Camilla. Great song choice.

Don't forget there's approximately 500 species which can kill you within a 1 metre radius WHEREVER YOU ARE in Australia.

Just remember that Australia is a country where the highest selling album of all time is by John Farnham. JOHN FARNHAM. For the benefit of those under 30, or allergic to 80s power ballads and/or mullets, this is he:
