I'm glad that Glastonbury has helped Beyonce and Coldplay so much with their new singles! I'd never thought 'Best Thing I Never Had' would've done so well! Although I do get a bit annoyed when the hoards of songs from their back catalogues rise up too. (Irreplaceable, Fix You etc.)

Beyonce is the only big new release impacting so I think there is a very good chance she will make it to the top of the singles chart. Jasons sales last week were not exactly spectacular for number 1 so she could manage it if she holds.

She isn't even number 1 yet, and missed a day of sales on Sunday. I think #2 debut (at best) this week personally.

That instrumental part of fix you in the middle is amazing <3

p.s any update on I WANNA GO?

I'm the exact opposite of annoyed. It's always fantastic to see old classics selling so well again. The presence of the 6 catalogue Coldplay songs and Irreplaceable in the top 100 pleases me greatly. (Fix You and Viva La Vida tend to rechart every now and then anyway, but seeing them both go top 45 again was brilliant! Although the latter is now down to #52 :()

However, it is annoying to see Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) and If I Were A Boy back, as I absolutely despise those songs (Halo is alright). So I guess it's down to personal opinion - are you annoyed because you don't like the songs or are you just annoyed because they're old? :P

128. I Wanna Go - Britney Spears

I missed is there going to be the video for 'Every Teardrop is a Waterfall'?

I'd say generally it's because the songs are old, and have already charted well. (Unless it's a song I really love) It's a bit of a silly reason, but I feel as if they 'clutter up' the chart and they push down songs that are relatively new, and in some cases, won't do as well as they could have done. That's why I'm a bit annoyed whenever it's Christmas or X Factor season as there are so many old songs charting again.

CAN BEYONCE BE #1 ALREADY! Need that #1 boost, would love to see her at #1, and i think it'd help 4 too sell even more with that being the cover and when you click on it it will lead to the album. £7.99 is a good price. :)

Also very happy to see SET FIRE TO THE RAIN #20

Coldplay top 10, and loving the Coldplay & Beyonce domination. :w00t: One of the best bands and One of the best solo artists! :D

So pleased to see Irreplaceable pretty much getting a secured place in the top 40 officially this week. :dancing:

(changes from my update last night)

#38 - Irreplaceable (live) to #32

#52 - Irreplaceable  #43

#50 - End Of Time  to #44

#67 - Run The World  #46

#62 - 1+1  #54

#61 - Halo  to #62

#75 - Single Ladies

#110 - I Was Here  #86

#104 - If I Were A Boy  #98

So Beyonce has NINE songs in the top 100 at the moment, with BTINH soon right at the top. :w00t:

#131 - Telephone (Gaga) to #112

#129 - Crazy In Love  to #125

#124 - Why Dont You Love Me? to #132

#176 - I Miss You  #133

#136 - Sweet Dreams

#186 - Countdown  #146

#136 - At Last  to #157

#163 - Baby Boy  #165

NEW ENTRY Start Over #171

#182 - Naughty Girl  #176

#190 - I Care  #168

So a total of 20 songs in the top 200 :o Incredible! With as you can see most still climbing.

Fantastic to see Beyonce and Coldplay doing so well on the back of Glastonbury - just goes to show how influential broadcasting music festivals are. I've already bought my copy of each this week, so can't help anymore - but hopefully Beyonce can still the #1 spot and Coldplay back in the top 40 (if at #10 would equate to a 32-place jump, wow!)

Coldplay are likely to get a new peak - they're #6 on the mids but the physical sales have been added to the B-Sides instead (as often happens on the first mids, last happened with Calvin Harris) and those physical sales plus the small amount of 'cherrypicks' Major Minus and Moving To Mars have has placed them both top 20 on the mids, so physicals have got to be pretty high (high enough to be top 20 or just outside on the first mids in their own right). Plus ETIAW might continue to climb from the top 10 effect on iTunes anyway.

So yeah, I think it'll jump at least 37 places and have a chart run of 6 - 22 - 45 - 5?

ayeee I feel like with the way she's been rising so fast once she's #1 she'll get a big boost from it and I hope she does too it's a really nice song.

Completely forgot about set fire to the rain since beyonce took over! Amazing that it's so high, she needs to get this video out a.s.a.p

It's only £3.99 on Amazon Digital all week! Ah!

It's only £3.99 on Amazon Digital all week! Ah!

I said it last week with Bon Iver and I'll say it again. iTunes monopoly baffles me when their top rival is selling stuff for half the price. People really must be lazy, because whenever I want to download any music I always check iTunes, Amazon and 7Digital to see which is the cheapest.

David Guetta's new song with Taio Cruz and Ludacris is #43 on US iTunes, but it doesn't seem to have been released here. Odd given WTGA was a worldwide release. Maybe it's because of sellout Taio not wanting the UK to get his material at the same time as the USA <_<

Me too! Do people realise that Amazon downloads also go straight into their Itunes like an Itunes purchase?

I will never download from Itunes again, they rip people off constantly charging more than other sites for the same material. Amazon also has some great deals like 5 tracks for £3.50 and 10 for £6 do you ever see iTunes doing that? Nope.

EDIT: Also, you can get 2, yes TWO full length albums for £10 as long as they are both under £8 which is the vast majority. (Can even get two £7.99 albums - most of the new release are! for just £10!)

ITUNES IS A RIP OFF.

Unless the record label wants the US release to be an OA/OS release and is deliberately left the UK release until later so it can get a higher peak?

The new David Guetta etc. song is awful anyway :puke: Hope it doesn't get number 1, I loved WDGA but LBG is SOOOOO generic it hurts...

Where Them Girls At video may be late, but so was Who's That Chick video and that did SO well, i can imagine the same thing happening with WTGA, not to the same huge extent, but its already been a hit and now with the video it will just get even bigger. Youtubing the video now  Internet going slow though!

£3.99 on Amazon?! That's amazing! I have to make an Amazon account :o

I always go HMV for physicals and they're always more expensive, and iTunes is quite cheap tbh, £7.99 still good for a whole album. :) And some are £3.95 or £4.99.

SFTTR really needs a video soon, for it to be #20 with no video and on Sunday officially sold 2,600,000 copies its just astonishing. SFTTR is so epic though.

She needs to get to #1, i've bought the album but so tempted to buy BTINH to give it an extra boost. :heehee: When its so close can someone let me know and i'll buy it when its just on the verge & i'll download it
