It's a shame she didn't mention more sales of the track in that list of things she wants in this song.

Slip a 63 on the tree, for me

85,000 for Santa Baby :o and it's never gone top 75.

Edited by Simon.

Pretty much outsold all the singles from the KMO era :smoke: utter amazingness.

How awkward  be her third million seller in 100 years maybe?

Incidentally, I'm curious as to how much 'Into The Blue has sold in total. It's total sales (now that 2014 streaming sales are included) must be something similar to Santa Baby

We should find out the sales for ITB fairly soon if a top 200 is published, assuming she makes it, eeeekkkk.

I don't think she will - in recent years, the #200 of the Year End Charts have sold ~90k+ which 'Into the Blue' won't have managed, even with streaming included. Shame though.

Shame, it should have sold more, radio dropping it like hot stone once it missed the top ten severly dented its chances of a slow descent as per 2 Hearts and All The Lovers.

^Thanks for those!

The last figure for 'I Believe in You' was from February 2014 where it had sold 155k. Presumably the OCC round to the nearest 5k but it's good that its now more close to 160k than 155k!

EDIT: The again, that was inevitable since it re-entered the chart this summer!

Sales figures from the mid 2000s will probably always annoy me! 160,000 sounds awful in today's terms, and isn't suggestive of how big 'I Believe In You' actually was at the time. It spent 4 weeks in the Top 5, which is her second longest Top 5 stay when it comes to Parlophone singles. As we know, one of those weeks at #3 only needed 7,000 sales for the week.

The total figure for 'On A Night Like This' is an injustice too, but that only managed 5 weeks in the Top 40. I'm glad that 'Love At First Sight' finally became silver certified at least!

Looking at her singles sales in the Parlophone era, 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' pretty much looks like a fluke compared to the others.

It's all relative to the era the songs were released.

Giving 2002 Year-End Charts as an example:

#55 Love At First Sight

#60 In Your Eyes

If you compare that to 2014 Year-End Charts

#55 sold 386,000

#60 sold 353,000

And even in 2004 Year-End

#54 Red Blooded Woman

#63 I Believe In You

Bear in mind, 'I Believe In You' made #63 year-end with only 4 weeks sales

I know it is, but it's such a shame the sales look so low anyway. :( They're definitely more deserving of those 2014 sales! Oh well. :kink:
