Great! It being uncertified was such an injustice. It's a bit :') to think Santa Baby has technically outsold one of her career highlights (well, in my opinion it is).

'I Believe in You' should be the next Kylie single to be certified Silver, given it was on 160k pure sales as of the very end of 2014.

Light Years is number 19 in the update. This will likely fall dramatically as the week progresses due to the limited availability of the vinyl, a top 100 placement at the end of the week would be wonderful for what i call her best album.

(Thought I'd reply in this topic because the 'Golden' topic didn't seem to be the place for me to replying specifically about 'Light Years'!)

With how much Light Years has sold so far this week, I'm pretty confident that it will end up somewhere within the Top 60, even if it sold nothing more Tuesday through to Thursday!

Sales so far: 1,728 [Physicals: 1,703 | Downloads: 6 | Streaming: 19]

Sainsbury's Twitter account stated that there's 2,500 copies of the Light Years vinyl, so it's interesting to see that there was still just under 800 copies out there, as of the end of Monday (or perhaps some of these remaining copies hadn't left the distribution centres yet, and will find their way onto shelves soon?)

Fever was even more limited, with only 1,500 copies. This was reflected in its chart performance - it re-entered at #89 with 1,219 copies sold. Presumably its vinyl sales were 1,100+ (taking into account downloads/streaming contribution).

Looking forward to finding out a new sales figure for Light Years! Just over 478,000 as of June 2009.

I am too, even though I know it probably won't have increased that much. Fever sold 22k between June 2009 and June 2017, so maybe ~495k for Light Years?

It'd be great if this vinyl ended up being the driving force needed for it to pass over 500k, but I wouldn't be surprised if you're right with that prediction and that it's still a bit adrift of that target!

Light Years is #21 today, with 1,939 sales [Physicals: 1,905 | Downloads: 8 | Streaming: 26]. Great to see it managed to sell just over 200 physicals yesterday. :D I shouldn't jinx it, but it seems like it should be safe for Top 40? In recent weeks anywhere between 2,000 and 2,200 has been enough to be Top 40.

It would be wonderful if Light Years can get past the half a million sales at some point. It is deserving of more but i would settle for that.

Love that it’s got some streaming sales! I’ve been streaming it to help keep it up the charts :P

So pleased that ‘Light Years’ is going to return to the charts after so long - pretty sure considering the buzz around it and people clamoring to get a copy they could have easily shifted 5,000 copies?

Very pleased at that! Light Years is a classic Kylie album, potentially my very favourite, so to see it shift enough vinyl to get back in the Top 40 feels like it affirms its status in Kylie's discography.
I'd probably call it my favourite Kylie album too. There are tracks like 'Koocachoo' and 'Loveboat' that I wouldn't ever listen to as standalone songs but in context of the album when you play it through they work like magic.

I've always been a fan of 'Loveboat' - it's so much fun!

There's only one misstep and that would be 'Bittersweet Goodbye'. Not because it's a bad song, but because it's so jarring in the context of the album. Maybe it could have been a B-side?

Bittersweet Goodbye is needed on Light Years. On the album it showed another side of Kylie and also gave the album a breather from the fast paced songs.

If i was to drop a song from the album it would easily be Koocachoo, its the only song i skip when i play the album and i play the album alot.
