I'd say Jennifer Hudson and Xtina have impressive vocals whilst Beyonce doesn't really deviate from her comfortable range. I personally love all three of their vocals, but my top is J.Hud simply because of Dreamgirls.

Without wanting to be 'nu vidcapper' I don't think Beyoncé's voice is the main factor in why she's so successful. If you catch my drift. (Not knocking her vocals though, she is one of the best singers around - although it's a shame she uses it on such terrible songs recently)

Beyonce can sing any genre, any tempo. Even her uptempos are vocal proclamations.

Beyonce > Adele > Leona >>>>>> J-Hud >>>>>>> Xtina

All have fab voices, but Bey is on another level  Adele is fabulous to watch/hear live as is Leona. As for J-Hud/Xtina, I'll agree with pretty much what's been said - they are technically brilliant but both oversing. And I Am Telling You however...

Beyonce is great singing on pop, RnB and hip hop, but I'm not sure how she'd do on a rock song.

I love her though. She's had so many incredible songs over the years. It's amazing really.

I think the recent songs she's done have been great (bar Broken-Hearted Girl and Telephone). Run the World is fantastic imo, and really different.

For me personally, I like Beyonce, but not because of either her looks or her singing (although she's fantastic in both departments, so well done to her, she works really had to be how she is). It's simply the songs for me. If she was actually a terrible live singer and really unattractive I'd still like the songs.

You Oughta Know

I was going to post 'You Oughta Know' too.

Also, the vocals on 'I Care' give me rock vibes.

This is probably a stupid question, but is that actually rock music?

But that's a great performance imo, whatever genre it is.

lol lets get back to topic. who is everything predicting will take #1 this wkd?

This is BUZZJACK. We're never on topic  Anyways Jason Derulo has it in the bag, this shall be a lesson to all that dare to release on a Monday (but tbh Beyonce couldn't care less where she peaks in the UK)

Jason on the singles and Beyoncé in the albums. 100% sure of this now.

The #1 albums the next few months could be interesting - it'll either be quite a long stay at #1 for Beyoncé or, if her sales slide quickly, at least one more essentially-by-default week at #1 for Adele could be on the cards. There's nothing remotely resembling a #1 album until David Guetta at the end of August (Dr. Dre, Nero and Hard-Fi might challenge if they're low sales weeks I guess) based on the release schedule! Although I'm sure either I've missed something or something else will crop up by then unexpectedly.

With Beyonce, it's a bit different because it was released with the album, and it's just being cherry-picked a lot more than we all expected. But yeah, she's too big to care about her UK chart positions tbh. I think it's mainly the US she's interested in.

But I think albums should just be released on Sundays anyway. At least digitally (and I'm not just saying this because it would've stopped Jason getting another week at #1 ).

Some albums are being released digitally on Sunday. Cascada, Inna and Sophie Ellis-Bextor's albums were all in the iTunes Albums feed on the Sunday. It just hasn't happened to any 'big' releases yet :P They really should do it though, imagine how many sales could be gained on albums' first weeks...

It's more pop-rock. I definitely think she could pull of rock music if she put her mind to it though. Her voice is very versatile, she's done R&B, pop, jazz, soul and a little bit of rock, and sounded vocally amazing throughout. She's quite unique in that sense.

3 July

Benjamin Francis Leftwich - Last Smoke Before The Snowstorm

Blondie – Panic Of Girls - This is likely to be the highest debut of the week, but no competition for #1

Dionne Bromfield - Good For The Soul

Emily Osment - Fight Or Flight

Jay Sean - Freeze Time

Selena Gomez & The Scene - When The Sun Goes Down

Starboy Nathan - 3D

July 10

Big Time Rush - Big Time Rush

Her Majesty & The Wolves - 111

Incubus - if Not Now, When

R.E.M. - Life's Rich Pageant - Not actually sure what this is, but the #5 album from March shows these still guys have a fanbase

The Horrors - Skying - Debut album at #37, second album at #25 - I think top 10/20 is possible

Wolf Gang - Suego Faults

July 17

LMFAO - Sorry For Party Rocking - Although this should do well on the back of [PRA], it won't. Much like Pitbull's 'Planet Pit', it's looking at top 20 at best

Natalia Kills - Perfectionist - A lot of hype, but her fanbase will have had this album imported; top 40 potentially

July 24

Dr Dre – Detox - A hopefully big finale for Dr. Dre. It's got the collaborations and prior releases to give it a decent top 5 placing - not sure about #1 though

Mann - Mann's World

July 31

Brother - Famous First Words

Joshua Radin - The Rock & The Tide

Joss Stone - LP1

Fountains Of Wayne - Sky Full Of Holes

Nero - Welcome Reality - Breakthrough artist of the year, I think a top 10 placing is sure; but shock #1 perhaps?

New Boyz - Too Cool To Care

Rhydian - Waves

The Ting Tings – Kunst - If these guys can build up momentum in the next couple of week, this release could do well - but I think at the moment a top 20 placing is optimistic

August 7

Foe - Deep Water Heart Breaker

August 14

Charlie Simpson - Young Pilgrim

Dolly Parton - Better Day

Wretch 32 - Black & White - Dependent on whether 'Don't Go' gives him another top 5 hit, this could do well - I know I'll be getting it

August 21

Hard-Fi - Killer Sounds - This should do well, but if 'Good for Nothing' only managed #51 - is this even going to reach top 5?

Will Young - Echoes

August 28

Bombay Bicycle Club - A Different Kind Of Fix - Debut = #46, Second Album = #8. I think they could get top 5!

David Guetta - Nothing But The Beat - It's David Guetta, it'll get top 5 easily - possibly even #1

Lil Wayne - Tha Carter IV - I'm aware the last release didn't do well, but there's been a lot of hype and new fans

Parade - Parade

Red Hot Chili Peppers - I'm With You - These guys still relevant?

Taio Cruz - Troublemaker - A top 10 placing would be nice at least, but at least two singles need to come before it

lol thks all of the ^ lol. I actually dont agree w some of you. I think Beyonce does care about charts and the UK to her I think comes in a close 2nd to the US. Reason is shes already got 5 #1s in the UK and knows her singles and albums do well there plus its a big market- so I think shes prob. very well aware of how shes #1 on iTunes and had a "shot" for the Sun #1. I still say this is a bit similar to GaGa and BTW, if only they relesed the song a day or two before/ after (depending on the scenerio) WITH the video etc...they both woulve added another #1 in the bag effortlessly.

Unfortunately this album was given free with a mag, which I already own and its rather poor, its highly unlikely fans are going to buy it, if they got it free. Personally I can't see their album charting top 40, its a shame though as I think their career is coming to an end.

the release schedule really is dead - Kasabian's newie isn't out until September 19th, so until then I doubt we'll see a 'huge' release, although the Chili's could still manage it, and I'm sure something will manage it as Adele's sales aren't likely to be too hard to overcome

About 'Don't Go', I'm absolutely certain the 'yay yay yay yay' in the background is sampled from another song, but I can't figure out what. Do you have any idea?

The Horrors could go top 5 and I think Bombay Bicycle Club could actually be as high as #2 behind Guetta unless another really big release crops up by then. Sales will be absolutely in the gutter by the end of August based on that shoddy release schedule. I hope Nero can grab a surprise #1 even if it is on low sales.

The R.E.M. album is a rerelease, so Incubus will probably chart higher. RHCP should have that last week sewn up against Guetta given "Stadium Arcadium" topped 200k first week (I know it was off the back of a #2 single, but their new one should go top 20 so #1 for the album should be comfortable).
