... maybe because it's an album track by an act that can barely shift singles?

Oh indeed, how dare they, having only released one single...

I've found the source, In Demand UK tweeted:

Good skillz @ddlovato is re-releasing Skyscraper in the UK on October 28th

If Demi performs this on X Factor, it could finally go top 10 or even top 5. I hope she does!

I don't get what point you're making here at all.

Would be great if she performed it on X Factor - double-bill with Neon Lights, though?

Hmmm, I don't really know what to think of it being re-released.

If she performs it on X Factor, it could be incredible.

That made no sense lol. Going back to Alyssa who you brought up earlier, only one single of hers charted yet it sold 200k more than Carry You has...

Well 'singles' is kind of... plural?

And on Shit Reid, Union J will easily outsell her in terms of albums. :smoke:

I've just seen a YouTube advert for 'Skyscraper' saying that the song "as used in X Factor" is available on iTunes now! Demi's record label are really doing everything to maximise sales after its use in X Factor with the re-release, price reduction to 59p and now the YouTube advert! :D
Really like this song. Shame it's not on her current album but I sense an album reissue if it performs well.
^ It is on the UK version of 'Demi'.

Call me suspicious, but I have a feeling the re-release of 'Skyscraper' was planned even before 'Heart Attack' came out. It seems evident that they want it to be the hit that it never was here, it's all of a sudden on pretty much every X factor montage (Demi has her links with Simon because of The X Factor US) and was included on our version of 'Demi'.

As for the song, her voice just isn't strong enough and comes across plastic. I'm not a fan.

Skyscraper was my fav song of last year, so happy its finally doing well here :D

I was reading the PJ forum and someone brought up this idea:

Let Skyscraper do its thing in the charts, and then let Neon Lights be released with an X Factor performance. Following that release this EP, merging Unbroken, Demi and some unreleased stuff:

1. Skyscraper

2. Give Your Heart A Break

3. Neon Lights

4. Unbroken

5. Be Okay

6. Made In The USA

7. Shut Up and Love Me

8. Really Don't Care (Feat. Cher Lloyd)

9. I Hate You, Don't Leave Me

I could actually see this working if she did it right!

I've just heard Skyscraper played on radio 2 this morning. I'm not sure if they playlisted it in the past but it's looking good for this what with the apparent re release coming :D
I'd love for 'Made In The USA' to become a hit but I am glad 'Skyscraper' is going to get a re-release. Both are so much better than 'Heart Attack'!

Disagree with that so much.

'Skyscraper' is OK I suppose.

('Heart Attack' is still quite the tune though (plz don't warn me Liam ))

Your post is hilarious..Lol Especially the ANTI DEMI BRIGADE..I love Demi and i really don't understand why you hate it so much. It has so sweet melody. You regard it as a flop but it finally managed to sell more than 150.000 copies. So, it's not so flop anymore..
