Actually, the one person to make me realise Steve Jones wasn't the worst host in the world, was Rachel Crow.

Melanie's first audition was INCREDIBLE but after that she didn't do it for me. I liked Drew but Simon ruined her. I would much take Alex's version of listen over Melanie's final version. Did they ever release voting patterns?

Steve Jones, Paula & Nicole ALL OUT. Steve certainly needed to go and it's good to see changes being made to try and improve it/the ratings but they might as well get rid of LA Reid too.
Is Simon even staying...? I'd have thought that he would have wanted to get back and save UK X Factor.
I expect Simon will be staying. He's already coming back to 'save' BGT and it's not like US X Factor doesn't need saving as well.
It's funny to see that two years ago the Uk got higher ratings than the US xFactor ever did.

Following Nicole's axing from US X Factor now it's Paula's turn

Simon Cowell has offered Beyonce $100m a season to be a mentor on the show

IMO it's L.A. Reid who should have gone - he's the worst ( i mean supporting Astro :puke2: )

Let's send Dermot O'Dreary over there - he's the one that spoils the UK show - he's so childish - He could learn plenty from Ryan Seacrest who's a perfect host.

The only ones worse than O'Dreary would be Any & Dec -- Even Steve Jones would be better than these divs

Topics merged as there is 1] no need for a separate topic for something already being discussed in here and 2] not enough people who give a shit about XFUS for it to warrant a new thread.

18 days left before the 2nd season starts im sooo excited & i hope some that didn't make it far last year tries again this year and succeds.

Just thought it would be better to make a new topic for the upcoming season, rather than have it merged with the last season! The first auditions episode premieres September 13th on Fox, and the judges are LA Reid, Demi Lovato, Simon Cowell and Britney Spears. Should be amazing, Demi and Britney are two of my all time favourite singers and Britney is sure to be interesting. There is a catergory shake up as well, instead of boys and girls being split there are groups, over 25s, 16-25s and under 16s. I think the idea is pretty unfair, as whoever gets the under 16s will have no chance as the youngsters never win. I think it should be 18-25 and under 18s tbh.

Also a spoiler, the catergory allocation is apparently:

Under 16s - Demi

16-25s - Britney

Over 25s - LA

Groups - Simon

Giving Britney the best catergory :D I think it's a good idea to give Demi the under 16s though because she'll be better mentoring people younger than her. Still could be under 18s though, she's 20.

All this and they still haven't found a host! Excited though, this should join the Australian series as being far better than the UK series.

Yep, very excited for Britney and Demi!! 2 of my favourite singers!

I was very pleased with the category allocation too when I saw it, fits each judge perfectly! :D

I don't see the point in having a separate thread as the show doesn't garner enough interest on here to warrant one so I'm gonna merge the two.

Is this even being broadcast on British TV anymore? I've searched the schedules and can't see it, unless anyone knows differently?
I heard last week that ITV2 had no plans to show it but then I read today that they will but in late September/early October.

What's the point in holding it back? The only big shows they have on at the moment are Celebrity Juice and The Only Way is Essex... I'm sure they can reschedule the 74th showing of Forgetting Sarah Marshall this year

ITV2 are showing it starting from the 27th September! That's way too late! :(
LOVED the first episode. Britney was brilliant. Demi and Simon have great chemistry. Forgot LA was there the majority of the time but oh well there has to be one week link. Also loved all the backstage bits and hearing the judges speak in between acts, brilliant.

I LOVED how remorseful Britney was! :D

The other judges were usually like:

"It's a no, from me. Sorry." :(

"A no from me too." :(

and then Britney was like...

"NO." :D
