Dev is releasing her new single In The Dark on 1st August:

 

Her only competition is Cher Lloyd as well as JLS from the week before, but she has little airplay so it seems to be OA/OS. I can see it getting top 20, maybe eventually top 10 like BDL but a bit higher. I hope top 3, it's amazing and better than BDL imo.

I've heard that beat in the background of the chorus somewhere - is it a sample? As for where I think it will chart, if it climbs up the chart (like BDL) then I think Top 10, but if it's OA/OS, then probably Top 5 - the song is better than BDL, even though I love that song too!
I think it will debut in the top 20, hang around for a while, being one of those songs that stall around #11 for ages, but then climb into the top 10 and peak at around #8 or #9.
BDL was good in a trashy sort of way, this isn't that good on first listen tbh :( I think it will be high top 20, with maybe a chance of low top 10 a bit like BDL

I really like it - a lot different when compared to 'Bass Down Low' and 'Like a G6' - but sadly I can't see this doing too well. I think it'll be lucky to get T40 upon release - although it may have a few weeks outside the T40 before video airplay kicks in. If R1 playlist it, then it's a whole other story; but this doesn't seem like something they'll select.

 

Ideally, I'd like for Dev to have another T10 hit though.

Of course they will, why wouldn't they? Her profile is rising at a rapid rate and 'Bass Down Low' did really well.

I think it will defo be in the top.40, it's perfect time to release based on where bass down low is now in the chart after a healthy run. But I'm not sure about Top.5. I think 10-40 :/

Another top ten would be nice, but BDL only just made it so ITD will likely peak between 11-20 if it ever gets pushed as a single (R1 playlisting etc.)

She'll also have exposure from JLS's #1 the week before, as she's featured on it! Smart move releasing it after a guaranteed #1 collab. :)

 

I want this to be #1 because it sounds fantastic played really loud. :D

Don't know if it's a sample but it sounds a lot like Push The Feeling On by Nightcrawlers to me...
