July 13, 201115 yr Nothing interesting added this week, I keep looking at this and hoping to see Ola on here each week! I suppose I should be grateful with Robyn seemingly getting full backing instead
July 13, 201115 yr A nothingy week here, was hoping Christina Perri and Tinie/Wiz would make it :( At least Nero is on the rise
July 13, 201115 yr Don't Go and Bear Hug and Promises    Other than that, YAWN. (Why do R1 insist on immediately playlisting everything I send to BJSC? This is like the third time that's happened) Still no Tiz Khempah :o Edited July 13, 201115 yr by Bré
July 13, 201115 yr pretty dull week, glad Nero is climbing though, hopefully that will become a hit :D I haven't even heard that new Chilis song :o can't say I'm too pleased about Brown & Bieber being added -_-

July 13, 201115 yr Glad they're supporting Next 2 You, great song. And the addition of She Makes Me Wanna gives me hope for Dev's second single being playlisted.
July 13, 201115 yr Sssh, it's supposed to be a secret until the semis open :P I didn't specify which song it was :P
July 13, 201115 yr I didn't specify which song it was :P One of them would be immediately vetoed, lets face it
July 13, 201115 yr One of them would be immediately vetoed, lets face it  Which one? None of them particularly strike me as BJSC winners. (Not even the one I sent :P)
July 13, 201115 yr I haven't even heard that new Chilis song :o I don't think anyone has The first single from the new album 'I'm With You' will have it's first play on Zane Lowe's show on Monday 18th 7.30pm And then I'm led to believe it will be added straight to iTunes (or more probably at midnight)

There are no advantages at all to a Monday release!
July 13, 201115 yr WHY are they releasing on a Monday?!? There are no advantages at all to a Monday release! Well, there is, because it means your position on your first week will be lower than it would be if it was released on a Sunday, and your position on your second week will be higher, so the drop in the charts between the weeks will be smaller, so people on Buzzjack won't laugh at you. Like if you're frontloaded though, your 2nd week being days 7-13 of the song's sales rather than days 8-14 of the song's sales means your chart run will look a bit less frontloaded. I guess a good example is Shout from last year. It's not really worth it though.
July 13, 201115 yr Fairly boring week, to be honest. Nothing of note dumped, Derulo aside, and several songs that I haven't heard/don't really care about but were shoe-ins for the playlist. However, good to see Eminem and Emeli climbing.

July 13, 201115 yr I echo the surprise at the support given to Robyn, though it is Greg's Record Of The Week this week, alongside being Scott's last week.
July 14, 201115 yr What about Maverick Sabre? Never heard anything about him but his official video has over 1,5 million views on YouTube. :o Edited July 14, 201115 yr by Jason
July 14, 201115 yr Maverick Sabre was the guy who sang the hook on Jungle by Professor Green. They've been hyping him up loads on Radio 1Xtra.
