I didn't fully appreciate An Honest Mistake until recently but it's probably my favourite 'indie' song ever. (I'm probably forgetting something there though)

Really? :o Goodies when a number 1 (albeit it was seen as one of the more forgettable ones of the 00s somehow :() as were Get Right and Stickwitu :lol: Though what you said in the other thread about MCR getting you properly into music in 06 explains really, you weren't 'following' music in 2005.

To be fair, like most genres it's good when it first begins to dominate. The indie that was in the top 20 in 2005 was so much better than what came two years later with the likes of The Pigeon Detectives, The Holloways, The Enemy etc.

 

Also it's harder to ignore the indie in this one. There are more songs of that genre than in any of the other games so far, but there are also less songs overall.

All of my faves made it. Particularly happy Missy Elliott made it, always felt it was quite underrated.

Not the greatest set of qualifiers there :lol: Very credible and all but I only love one of them! Poor Bob/Rachel/DHT :(

I have to say I don't see the appeal of 'I Like The Way' 5 years on and am surprised it qualified. It was terrible at the time and is the type of song which has only got worse over time. Probably the only song of the 90 I'm unhappy that actually qualified.

Well, 4 of my top 5 qualified so that's good :D Not happy about Bloc Party and BodyRockers qualifying though...

A lot of the qualifiers aren't very good (Pussycat Dolls, Sugababes, J-Lo etc.) but glad to see Kasier Chiefs, The Bravery and more importantly Ciara and 2Pac qualify :wub: :wub:

 

It's really sad however to see "Wires" only at 33 :cry: One of the most underrated songs ever, it should be a classic with lines like "down corridors through, automatic doors" "I've seen Christmas lights, reflect in your eyes" Also sad to see Bob Sinclar and Razorlight just miss out :( :( :cry:

its a shame White Stripes and Hard Fi just missed out :( thats still a good enough list of qualifiers - glad The Bravery, Coldplay, Foo Fighters and Gorillaz made it through :D

Definitely agree with that, dance of the worst kind, the music was ok but the lyrics and 'I love myself' singer were horrendous.
