It's like we've gone back to the boyband craze, With JLS and The Wanted, I thought the days of Boybands having big success were a thing of the past, obviously not.

Pretty disappointed JLS are number one, I dont mind them but the song is pretty lazy and sounds like everything else out there now. Just a bit meh.
Wow Back To Black #11, once #10 going to rocket. As high as top 5, probably #2 it could get too. The album #1 & #4. (and #3 the Frank & BTB package)

One more place to go for BTB :w00t: Get in that top 10!

Three more new top 300 entries and finally something from Frank has entered :D I was watching 'Amy Winehouse: A Tribute' on VH1 earlier and they literally only played one Frank song ('In My Bed' once), they mostly just repeated the 6 songs currently in the top 100 over and over :drama:

WYSLMT is doing really well :o Not exactly the obvious 8th highest entry (the top 7 were fairly obvious immediately)

Hopefully Magnetic Man will go at least top 40 but it's not a good start for them.

I'd rather have JLS at number 1 than The Wanted for a 3rd week, though I love both songs. Well, ideally Back To Black would be top but I can't see it happening. Top 5 is likely though. Also though Six D would be off to a better start, and Maverick Sabre!
Insane speed for JLS, #1 is never really in doubt for their lead singles though is it - well not for me at least, I know some people had their doubts.

Interesting to see who I still perceive to be the UK's biggest 'new' boyband (i.e. non Take That who are a bit old/veteran for that tag!) knocking the second biggest off the top. I'm trying to think of the last time a boyband replaced another at #1 in the UK, I'm thinking late 2003 when Westlife's Mandy knocked Busted's Crashed The Wedding off.

I might be completely wrong on this but I suspect the reason why JLS have shot up so fast on iTunes is because The Wanted's sales must have decreased a fair bit from this time last week. When the sales figures are released for this week I wouldn't be surprised if 'Glad You Came' ended up selling 60-70k which is quite a decline on their 117k opening week.

As for JLS, I reckon they'll have a similar fate selling over 100k this week. However, in their case I'll be gobsmacked if Cher Lloyd isn't no. 1 next week - it just seems like the most obvious no. 1 of 2011 since...well, JLS. :D

Really? Its lead hardly decreased at all over the week, I'm sure it will have sold at least another 75k-ish!

I quite agree - never heard such a cert for #1 as this!

I can't believe Back to Black the single only got as high as #25 on original release :o Ok, sure, everyone still had the album by then (it was the third single release) but it's still such a well-known song of hers.

Her singles chart positions are all very surprising really - even Rehab only got to #7, Valerie is her biggest at #2 but Mark Ronson was the lead credited artist. If she gets #2 this week it'll be Cascada/Michael Jackson all over again, stupid JLS :/

It only got to #25 but it did spent a full year in the top 100 (52 non-consecutive weeks). Hopefully we'll get an overall sales total when it re-peaks next week :D

Rehab also spent 73 weeks top 100 :o Tears Dry On Their Own had 26, her own version of Valerie had 21 and the Ronson version had 47. YKING had 12 and LIALG had 4. Quite a marked contrast to the 1 week each of her first 4 singles had in the top 100 (or top 75 as it was then)!

[***] 131| JLS - Nobody Knows

Whoops, I missed this in my new releases update - will include it in the next one.

JLS always amaze me in their ability to sell B-Sides!

It probably chart on Tues update as the rest of their B-sides do

JLS should not be #1. This obviously has been "bought" and their fans should be ashamed.

Amy deserves the #1 more than anyone as a tribute and I hope sales skyrocket to knock those four w*n**rs off the top.

Let me guess, you're going to claim Simon Cowell has rigged the chart again when Cher gets to #1, then again if Olly does, then again if Leona does, then again if One Direction do, then again if JLS do again with their second single, then again if the charity single does, then again if the winner does. Yawn.

Dont be shy tell us what you really think.

What sad news but Amy had been sinking for so long but I hope she can do the double this week. I imagine she will have so many radio programmes devoted to her she will have at least 4 new entries in the Top 40.Love Back to Black so pleased it is doing well.Six D are just terrible and not sure why they are so high surely teens cannot have such bad taste.

It's just such a shame that Amy never finished her third album. Now Back To Black will be her last ever proper album. I'm sure at some point down the line (before 2012) Universal will decide to release unfinished/previously unreleased material in the form of a posthumous album.
