Today's top 100 update (8:30 positions)

 

Two new entries today, both from 'Now That's What I Call Music!, Vol. 79' - Jessie J's #9 hit 'Nobody's Perfect' (#87) and Ed Sheeran's #3 hit 'The A Team' (#94). This brings the total number of Now! 79 entries in the top 100 to eighteen. There's unlikely to be any more entering now but who knows? Stay tuned tomorrow to find out. Tracy Chapman's Fast Car also re-enters at #95 for whatever reason. Carole King, Amy Winehouse and Tinchy Stryder have entries dropping out to accommodate the 3 top 100 entries.

 

(Honourable mention goes to Adele's Set Fire To The Rain which really should have been top 10 in today's update, but in the half an hour I gave iTunes to update from its super-reverted state before just going off the (correct) feed, David Guetta just pipped her to the post. I used to believe in LiveHits, but Super Bass just dropped #5 -> #17, and BTB just went to #4 from low down. Jar Of Hearts also dropped about 20 places, all in the space of maybe a couple of updates, so I don't really get it if it is real.

I highly doubt that. Sorry, it's just not feasible. He probably made a program to try and read the charts off iTunes something, and it simply doesn't work properly.

 

Same with the Almost Saturday Chart. I highly, highly doubt it's "made up". The people behind it probably use the download sites to estimate where a song will chart officially, or something like that.
