yeah but eric, Notorious at #43 ? It's been fixed and it's now at number 69 to think two weeks ago it was 30 on iTunes!!

I think Jls have number one in the bag this week which is quite suprising but a 9% lead really isin't good enough... just hope Cher starts promoting soon.

don't forget her EP is also #4 on the album's chart. So combine that and the lead will be bigger.

Yeah I want Cher Llyod to get number one but she's going to drop quite large come Wednesday if this is the biggest lead she can hold... this is quite surprising as i expected Jls to only be on 40% or something.

Do some people not like the song?! :o I had NO idea. Absolutely NO idea! :kink: :lol:

 

Seriously though, how much a song sells is more about how many people like the song, rather than how many people hate the song. That's why some songs recently, that seemed to be hated by a lot of people (e.g. Like a G6 by Far East Movement, or Low by Flo Rida) got to be so successful. Ultimately, if there's a plethora of people that like the song, it'll still sell very well, no matter how many people hate it.

 

I'd like Cher to # be #1, but there are some good things that could come if she got #2. Firstly, it would stop this whole myth going around that everything JLS release is massively frontloaded, if they can get 2 weeks at #1. Secondly, if Cher doesn't get #1, I think her haters will feel less threatened by her, so hate her less. Thirdly, if she doesn't get #1, it'll save us from the public outrage at how "anything" can get #1 these days, and how we're all brainwashed by Simon Cowell, etc.

Cher hasn't got that much of a lead at all over JLS has she?

 

I thought going to number 1 would've boosted her a bit more - her sales are going to be very underwhelming come sunday I think - at this rate she's barely going to do 80k - and considering how we thought she may do twice that and considering her percieved hype she isn't doing that well.

 

Will be interesting during the week to see how this goes.

If it goes top 10 this week - I reckon it could challenge next week as there is literally nothing really out to compete.

 

Really hope it manages to go top 10 by the end of the day - its been so close these past couple of days
