Why on earth would you want to buy an album by a tit who sung in the lead single "it's not about the money, money, money"?

Because she's an incredibly talented singer who makes very good music? That's probably the reason.

Brilliant album, downloaded illegaly as she does say " it's not about the money money money " most likely buy it in town though.
Loving 'Nobody's Perfect', 'Abracadabra' and 'Who's Laughing Now' the most I think. Very strong album.

After three or four full plays of this (brilliant!) album. Here's my ratings :)

10.0 'Price Tag' (featuring B.o.B.)

09.0 'Nobody's Perfect'

08.5 'Abracadabra'

08.0 'Big White Room (Live)'

07.5 'Casualty of Love'

09.5 'Rainbow'

09.0 'Who's Laughing Now'

10.0 'Do It Like A Dude'

07.0 'Mama Knows Best'

06.0 'L.O.V.E.'

10.0 'Stand Up'

10.0 'I Need This'

10.0 'Who You Are'

-----BONUSES-----

10.0 'Price Tag (Acoustic Version)'

05.0 'Do It Like A Dude (Acoustic Version)'

10.0 'Who You Are (Acoustic Version)'

Her voice is just incredible on the live and acoustic songs, especially. I love how she just completely strips down a song so effortlessly. I really get the urge to see her live now (which I believe was the point of this album, to get her name out there obviously and be successful etc... but not just be an average pop star but also someone who can be one to watch live etc...) and as soon as I find available tickets (and someone who'd go with me!) I'll be there within a shot!

LOONING BADLY RIGHT ABOUT NOW.

Also currently 2 & 3 on iTunes album chart! :D Hopefully number 1 for her with healthy sales!

This album is a bit of a grower I think. Not that I didn't like it.

'Price Tag' is the only song I couldn't like for some odd reason (I can only like B.o.B's part). The rest were at least better.

Without mentioning DILAD, my faves were 'Rainbow' and 'Who You Are'.

I think I wouldn't mind much whatever the 3rd single is going to be.

So i brought who you are on my fro my mums itunes. She would get peeved but she did meet her dad and loves her anyway. But woiii i love it. And im only on Track 3. AbraCadabra looks likely to be my jam for Summertime. Il try and write a proper review later but im so in love with this girl its unreal.

This seems to be getting mixed reviews at the moment.. Just downloaded it and going to give it a listen now

Hopefully I'll like it.. Loved Who You Are/Do It Like A Dude and Price Tag sort of

Bought it this morning as somebody who sort of likes Do It Like A Dude (moreso on a night out) and really likes Price Tag.

She has a great voice and it's a strong debut overall. Quite unconventional to put a live track in the middle of the running order rather than at the end :o I wonder if they attempted to record a studio version of Big White Room but it didn't sound particularly effective? Kudos for that though! Either way, that song reminds me of Sojourn, the hidden track from Natasha Bedingfield's Unwritten!

In fact, she really might as well be Natasha 2.0. Her voice is often very similar, she has a similar quirkiness and mannerisms/vocal acrobatics and all of these songs could easily be recorded by Natasha (dare I say some of them even sound more dated than what Natasha was doing on her debut!). If Jessie had won the Sound of 2004, rather than 2011, it might have been more understandable! Not that the bloody landfill indie throwbacks The Vaccines would have been any better a winner though! They should have just given it to Adele again, at least this time she'd have deserved it

Overall, a decent enough debut which will no doubt grow on me a lot, but perhaps not as unique, fresh and individual as I was expecting based on the hype. There are a few hit singles on here, but I'm surprised that Nobody's Perfect is the next single, it's far from the most obvious smash on here.

After a few listens..

08 Price Tag feat. B.o.B

10 Nobody's Perfect

09 Abracadabra

08 Big White Room

10 Casualty Of Love

Wow I love the album and I'm pretty surprised that I do after reading a few reviews. Nobody's Perfect is easily my favourite and a great single choice

I do feel like some of the tracks sound familiar to existing songs though

my signed copy arrived today, and on first listen, it's very good. 'price tag', 'abracadabra', 'who you are', 'do it like a dude' and 'rainbow' are my favourites, and I'd love 'abracadabra' to be a single in the summer. it's so feel good.

10.0 Who You Are

Review based on first listen; quite a strong album, however there are a few low points especially in the middle of the album for me. The singles have been chosen pretty much spot on. I think I heard 'Nobody's Perfect is the next single? If so, then a great choice. ^_^

SINGLE CHOICES.

01 Do It Like A Dude

02 Price Tag

03 Nobody's Perfect

04 Abracadabra

05 Who You Are

I agree with Doug that Abracadabra should be a summer single. Then I think Who You Are should be released as the last single.

Picked this up in town earlier (yay for in service day!) but not had time to listen yet, and soaps/Glee tonight so will be listening after school!

Is it likely that Jessie's number 1 in sales if both the normal version and deluxe were combined?

I wouldn't use the iTunes album chart as an indicator for all around sales.

A studio version of Big White Room has leaked, its really good, but I do prefer the live version and can see why she decided to with that for the album
