You need to tell your husband you want to switch.

But he won't listen!

You must be joking. Ashton will single handedly burn St. Joliver to a steaming pile of dust if it's even 2 HOURS late. :D

The TBO results were two weeks late last time and I think BJ Fest was the most on time/schedule I've been since TBO I in Nov 2008.

Ashton is not one to care when the results start, we burn embassies when we feel we've been treated unjustly. (Except in Warpathgate where there was mysteriously no call outs across the entire country for the fire brigade for the first time in modern Ashtonise history)

75/1 Bignia-Zaragovina: The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus - Your Guardian Angel

80/1 Juranabaijan: Ash - Lose Control

I seem to be in the middle-ish so far, I probably could just scrape in through but I'm not that confident.

I think those could be my best odds in any contest yet, although Florrie might have gotten similar.

I do think a lot of people are overpredicting St. Joliver quite considerably, it's a great track, but one that takes a while to grow I think and whilst it does have crossover appeal, it's still relatively limited.

And back down to earth.

Actually really pleased with my odds, it's a little different to the usual type of pop I send so I haven't really got any expectations for it but I am slightly obsessed with it at the moment, and the rest of her material too which is a little less cheery and more rocky but very decent.

Imma just stick with Rich's odds :heehee:

I like 4/1 ^_^ 18/1 less so.

Nice to be at the top end of the odds again.

I think I'm at the bottom quarter of the contest which is disappointing

The odds really are wildly different this month, seems like there could be some surprises in store. Ghosty with commendable self confidence this month :D

Not so sure about the top two turning out like that, I can't imagine either of those will crossover in any way to the 'indie bloc'. Not that you absolutely need to to win - Charice didn't and still managed it and obviously Isconia last month pretty much ONLY got the indie votes, but in huge measure and managed to win. I guess Anjulie/Jess Mauboy could do it with block solid 12's and 10's from all of the pop countries but that seems unlikely...both will do well though.

, I didn't intend for Endless Storm to finish that high, it just kind of ended up like that :kink: . The difficulty with this edition is that there are no definitive favourites, nor is there a small group of entries that are ahead of the rest of the pack, thus it's incredibly difficult to draw up odds and predictions!

Ghosty's odds look much more realistic to me  :nocheer:

I'm quite happy with Ghosty's odds.

He had Video Games down as 50-1 last month!!!

I know people say that it doesn't but personal taste plays a huge part in the construction of odds, it's only natural that you'd expect and hope that other people are liking the songs that you are, even if it's done subconsciously. There are always exceptions to the rule though of course with songs that you love but you know will never do well in a million years. I guess with over half of people not 'getting' Video Games there were going to be people severely underpredicting its chances whilst the ones of us that did get it were wondering what on earth they'd been sniffing when it seemed like one of the most obvious top fives we've ever had! :heehee:

That said, I only gave it opening odds of about 8/1 I think and wasn't allowed to offer anything further as the host. Winners do begin to become more clear as the weeks progress and you notice everyone raving over the same 4 or 5 songs.

I'm quite happy with Ghosty's odds.

Though I did have Chart Music at the top of my odds the previous month :P .

Rich is right though, I do think personal taste does influence predictions. That said, my odds don't necessarily reflect my votes. As far as Video Games goes, my 50/1 odds were based on one listen and my opinion was that the talking segments over the top of the song would put people off. As I listened to it more, it did become apparant that it would do quite well, but I admit I never thought it was a winner.

I do wish I could have found an mp3 without the chatter over the top but thankfully it didn't do any harm.

I'm really shocked to be ranked so high in peoples odds... Really hope I might get a new highest position this month :D
