Apparently What The Water Gave Me is premiering. Also album release date is November 7th.

Wow, this seems kinda sudden. Florence was my obsession for a while yet, strangely, I'm not overly excited by the news of new material. Hopefully it will be good though and win me over again.

About time!

 

I wonder what the lead single will sound like.

I loved Lungs so hopefully this album can be just as amazing! Hopefully the singles can do a bit better chart-wise as their profile as been raised so much since their debut.

I heard it's got a more acoustic sound than Lungs. But yeah, SO excited, Lungs was in my top 3 albums of 2009, and I still love it to this day. They could get a hit with What The Water Gave Me, and seeing as Lungs was a slow but constant seller they could get brilliant sales first week!

Lungs is my second favourite album of all time, so I am really looking forward to some new songs. I like acoustic sounding songs, so I hope it's good.

I don't mind the idea of some acoustic tracks but I really do not want her to ditch the percussion that featured so heavily on Lungs, the scale of some of the tracks was just to die for (you may note a change in my interest levels, I'm already beginning to get excited again a mere 2 1/2 hours after saying I wasn't! Fickle Dand!)

I hope this isn't as disappointing as Marina's new stuff.

wow, I didn't see this coming :o somehow doesn't feel like they've been away that long :unsure: meh..

 

anyway, Lungs was a good album if a bit filler-ish at points, so I'm looking forward to this :D an acoustic sound sounds interesting, I guess we'll be able to tell clearer from the single

I wasn't expecting it to be straight on sale. :o It probably won't get too high this week if it's released mid-week, though...

Now I'm wondering if it's just a buzz track they decided to make money out of or if it's an On Air/On Sale single? If it is a single then that suggests two singles before the album and I can't imagine why Florence would do that as she doesn't really need big hits to sell albums. Hmm.

That's what I was thinking too, we've barely heard anything about this song and it's going on sale tomorrow too. Most other OA/OS singles this year have had some sort of build-up before their premieres.

Yes, that points to it being a buzz track too. I mean, who releases a single without any build up to it whatsoever? Especially for such a big artist? Plus it's midweek and if it were a single they'd want the highest peak possible so they would release on Sunday.
