March 11, 201213 yr Author This is in need of a bit of an update isn't it :P New additions to the list: Stacey Solomon - Driving Home For Christmas One Direction - One Thing One Direction - I Should Have Kissed You Matt Cardle - Amazing Olly Murs - Oh My Goodness Marcus Collins - Seven Nation Army Mary Byrne - ...With Love Also updated the peaks of 'Want U Back' and 'Do You Feel What I Feel?' Further entries this week expected from Alexandra Burke on the singles and Marcus Collins in the albums (as well as further climbs for 'Oh My Goodness' and '...With Love' (Mother's Day effect)). Also got JLS' Proud coming soon. Watch this space :P Looking back on this thread, I find it funny that we knew the title of 'Elephant' all the way back in August... Edited March 11, 201213 yr by Engelbré
March 11, 201213 yr I found another one the other day - apparently Redlight's recent #18 hit 'Get Out My Head' features uncredited vocals from Nicole Jackson, who made it to the Judges' Houses during the sixth series of X-Factor. If you type 'Redlight' and 'Nicole Jackson' into Google, it does give some links - though none that completely verify it. May be worth putting it in though - perhaps adding a note to say it's pending.

This is only X Factor finalists (i.e. made it to the live shows) :P Marcus is the 23rd X Factor finalist to have a UK top 40 single and the 18th to have a UK top 10 single. Both figures excluding the finalist ensembles' charity singles. This week he'll almost certainly become the 26th X Factor finalist to have a UK top 40 album and the 21st to have a UK top 10 album (and maybe the 11th to have a UK #1 album, while 14 X Factor finalists have had UK #1 singles). March 11, 201213 yr 145 Leona Lewis - My Hands (2010) This is the best song from someone took part in X-Factor. Big mistake that Syco didn't release it. It would be great for a soundtrack like Avatar. It's an epic song!! I don't know why "My Hands" was used as the theme song for the Final Fantasy XIII...
March 15, 201213 yr Interesting that Marcus Collins is only course for the "worst Top 10 position" so far.
March 18, 201213 yr Author Further entries this week expected from Alexandra Burke on the singles and Marcus Collins in the albums (as well as further climbs for 'Oh My Goodness' and '...With Love' (Mother's Day effect)). Duly added/updated now - Elephant comes in at 3, Marcus Collins album at 7 (the lowest peaking top 10 album by an XF act). Oh My Goodness climbs to 55 and ...With Love to 28 - the former should continue to climb, the latter not so much. And Proud will be on the list in 7 days' time :D
March 19, 201213 yr Author By the way, Mary Byrne's '...With Love' seems to be the first album by an X Factor artist ever to not debut at its peak :o
March 20, 201213 yr Author Wikipedia says that 'Too Good to Lose' from Rebecca peaked at 186, is it true? Yes, it did - thanks, added.
May 14, 201213 yr Author Updated; not much added since last update, only 'Proud' and 'Glitter & Gold' + 'Oh My Goodness' hitting its peak. Has 'Teach Me How To Be Loved' also reached a new peak?
June 23, 201213 yr Author Updated. Added: One Direction 'More Than This', Jedward 'Waterline', Alexandra Burke 'Let It Go' + 'Heartbreak On Hold', Aiden Grimshaw 'Is This Love'. Aiden Grimshaw is the 24th X Factor artist (plus the four Finalist ensembles) to get a top 40 single. Can someone with access to the full top 200s confirm the peaks of 'Waterline' and Rebecca Ferguson's 'Glitter & Gold' + 'Teach Me How To Be Loved' please? Edited June 23, 201213 yr by BBB
June 23, 201213 yr Rebecca Ferugson's Glitter and Gold peaked at #116 (chart run: 196-182-116-123-x, thanks to Manic Kangaroo on Haven), it appears Teach Me How to Be Loved reached a peak of #128 the same week Glitter and Gold peaked, and Waterline peaked at #122. Thanks. I had G&G down as #116 but Wikipedia said #110 which threw me off - I'll change that back. Wiki got 'Waterline' correct though. And I thought TMHTBL re-peaked that week (it was performed somewhere) but I couldn't find where it had re-peaked.
June 23, 201213 yr I read that Marcus Collin's 'Mercy' got to 194 the week it was released. got the info with wiki so I dunno how true it is.
