I think Maroon 5 will be #2 with the Sats #3.

 

Leona will be at least #6, possibly #5 but only an outside chance of #4 as Example has his album version charting.

Well, relative flop for someone of her stature/exposure. Saying it's not her song is a bit of an exaggeration but I do find it bizarre than Syco not only thought they had to steal another backing track for her big comeback, but also that no one would notice.

I think Pixie will end up at number one with All Fired Up being at number two, beyond unlucky!

An 8-10 chart position for the first single from a new Leona album would have to be considered an initial flop, yes.

Missing You climbed up for ages before getting #1.

Club Can't Handle Me was behind it for a while and then started rapidly gaining before eventually overtaking.

Love The Way You Lie hung on strong in the top three and ended up beating Missing You into #2 on Sunday.

 

Now, replace Missing You with All Fired Up, Club Can't Handle Me with All About Tonight and then LTWYL with Moves Like Jagger and we'll have a repeat of last year.

 

(I know it might not happen, but it's looking likely)

Incidentally, The Saturdays didn't actually get #1 on iTunes last year, at all. They almost got there, but Flo Rida was #1 for almost the whole week (and most of the two weeks before aswell), with Eminem spending just over a day at #1 (his entire run at #1! :o) at the end of the week, before Roll Deep got there.

 

The Saturdays had the Cahill remix of Missing You in the top 40 on iTunes though.

Example didn't get there until Tuesday. I'm sure The Lazy Song didn't get there until Wednesday.

Some artists have got #1 officially without even getting to #1 on iTunes before!

Someone Like You didn't get there until Wednesday night, Gettin Over You didn't get there till Wednesday aswell iirc and Price Tag didn't get back to #1 on iTunes until the Friday on its second week at #1.

Telephone didn't get to #1 on iTunes but still went #1.

Well, yes. :lol: And in the early days of iTunes aswell, when it didn't have a big share of the market, it probably happened a few times.

 

But even since I've been following the charts, ironically, Pixie Lott did it with Boys and Girls, and The Saturdays managed to be #1 in the mid-weeks until Friday whilst only peaking at #2 on iTunes!

 

There's others aswell. I think the last week that When We Collide was #1 officially, What's My Name? was #1 on iTunes the whole week. And the 2nd week the X Factor Finalists were at #1 officially, but Ellie Goulding spent the beginning and end of the week at #1 on iTunes, and Nicole Scherzinger the middle. And the first week that Telephone was at #1, it only peaked at #3 on iTunes! I'm sure there's other occurances which will spring to mind, but I'll stop now. But basically, it happens relatively frequently. :lol:

I await Ms Dynamite's random skyrocket to #1 and the subsequent meltdown on the internet. :D

The fact iTunes has frozen like five times today has totally killed the excitement regarding this chart battle.
