I still think 'You And I' will be a relative flop here, maybe T20 but I can't see it being a big radio hit - and all the casual fans of Lady GaGa won't like it as it's too different. I already have it as I bought the album, but if I didn't I wouldn't think about buying it - it's that bad for me :( The video isn't great either (Lady GaGa as a mermaid, seriously?)

But she always does odd videos, it's her... Did you expect a sitdown video with her just singing?

That would probably be her most shocking video yet if she did that. Like the Empire State of Mind, Part II and Someone Like You music videos that they used.

The song is turning out to be massive in the US though, as expected (#3 on iTunes, probably #2 soon). Maybe a better idea would've been to release You and I there, and another song in Europe. I'm glad she didn't though, as I don't really want another club banger from her.

 I guess.

I'm pretty sure we can't rule out a Hot 100 no.1, once airplay kicks in :o But I agree, she should've gone with Hair, Scheisse, Americano, Marry The Night or even Heavy Metal Lover over here and Y&I in America. Y&I has really grown on me though, it's in my top 3 of the album now. I wanted Hair as the European single really badly though, smash hit right there!

You & I might even struggle to go top 30 in the UK, shame :( Although the single choice was stupid, Gaga did say the fans will pick single #4 and i'm pretty sure You & I wasn't even the top 2 most popular song voted to be the next single in numerous fan site polls...
Yeah, I remember that - it was either Marry The Night or Scheisse first, I don't remember but it was one of them.
She should release Marry the Night as the 5th or 6th single (the other being Hair). I hope Scheisse doesn't get released at all tbh. I really don't like it, although I like the pre-chorus, but that's only like 10 seconds of the song. I might like the song if the whole song was like that, but then I realized it'd basically be Beautiful People.

oh 'hair' should totally have been released over 'you & I', it's loads better. it's got quite an inspirational message too, as well as being a catchy upbeat pop song.

I do like 'you & I', but it's really not single material.

Ugh, I did have the top 100 from 8pm roughly typed up but I somehow managed to close the Word document without saving it so it'll be an 11pm update today. (And I am actually going to post an update today, hopefully before midnight :P And I should be back on schedule with the updates from tomorrow)

Sean K at #11 and #64 - I wonder if this could become a third top 10 hit for him based only on being used in a movie? That's quite an achievement. (Will also be his first decent song to go top 10 after Fire Burning cruelly missed out, although it's still not that great)

LoveGame only got to #19 and that was a much more commercial song than Y+I. I think #23 or something will be it's peak.

Sean Kingston up to #11!! :D He's quite far away from #10 though, and Bruno is probably climbing.

Love Game, I think was also a bit messed up since it was released in the US a few months earlier than the UK, so has a music video really early (so really it's a slightly similar situaion to You and I).

They did release the You and I video insanely early, to be fair. And lots of other songs peak in the charts waaaaay later than their music video gets released. For example, What's My Name? got to #1 2 months after its music video came out. The You and I video has only been out a couple of weeks, so there's time, before everybody starts pankicking.

Wasn't that because of X Factor? Unless Gaga has a performance lined up, i can't see it doing that good. With the video and now VMA's, it should've been alot higher by now.

Without the X Factor, What's My Name? could've taken even longer to reach it's peak, which further proves my point. But it was performed on X Factor 4 weeks before it got to #1.

I was just saying to some Lady Gaga fans, who seem to expect her songs to peak in the chart a couple of weeks after the video release, that for other artists, it sometimes takes months and months.

Basically, I think it's too early to worry. If by October, it's still not in the top 40, then maybe that might be worrying.

No, none of her video's are normal to be fair lmao, I love Edge Of Glory tho! I love Lady GaGa just wish she did few normal video's :D

Lovegme was messed up. She was releasing it as her 3rd single and radio stations started playing it and then all of a sudden she changed it to papparazzi and then choosing lovegame 4th

I can't see how The Edge Of Glory isn't a "normal" video, it's plain and just her dancing in some streets randomly. How is that even a normal video? Pretty sure other female acts have a more "abnormal" video when compared to The Edge Of Glory....
