Pixie's EP has fallen a place. I know it's nothing but still..

I think Maroon 5 will actually overtake both The Sats and Pixie (who will no doubt go into freefall next week) by the end of the week.

Exactly, this is what I was going on about typical no one took any notice. They are going to lose those sales with the postage fees.

In total it comes to £6 something for the 3 formats and thats including postage.

 Do you really dislike both songs so much spiidey?

Pixie = generic cookie-cutter pop with no substance and a terrible vocal (better in the studio but absolutely abysmal live)

The Saturdays = their worst song to date, absolutely horrendous and easily the worst #1 this year if it were to get there (and there have already been some horrors so far).

I genuinely don't see the point in The Saturdays anymore - they are rapidly becoming irrelevant. If their album flops as hard this time around Cowell may not even have to dust said suit down.

Just check the previous thread - 28 pages yesterday :o Is that a record for this forum?

The Saturday's airplay is not as popular as last year, but I have no idea why you seen them as irrelevant considering they keep getting top 10 singles.

Honestly I'm a HUGE fan of all of Leona, The Saturdays and Pixie Lott and would place Spirit/Echo, Chasing Lights/Headlines and Turn It Up amongst my all time top 100 favourite albums but they've all had far far better singles in the past than these efforts (although I do like all three, Collide especially).

And I've never been able to tolerate Maroon 5 curiously. But nothing would please me more than seeing Moves Like Jagger beat all three of them to #1, it's by FAR my favourite song of the four and if I'd been told even a couple of months ago that I'd be supporting Maroon 5 in a battle against three of my favourite artists I'd have frankly laughed them out of the room

A Saturdays release always makes this board a lot more hilarious. If the girls want a no.1 so badly they should go away for a while and come back with some material that stands out. AFU sounds like any dirge that's been in the chart the last 9 months (that's not to say that Pixie's track doesn't, however)
I think The Sats are far from being irrelevant but I do think this album will be make or break for them

That was kinda my point - they're on the downward slope towards irrelevancy, and I can see their album completely flopping with less than 100k sales which would surely spell their demise.

Oh this again, the 'make or break' album. Which was also funnily their last album.. and the album before that..

Like Lee said they're hardly irrelevant. I think you must be getting them confused with the Sugababes.

If that was the case (their 2nd album didn't sell more than 80k) then 2ys ago you would have been right, but they're still here. And if their last 'album' (EP, whatever) can sell 180k on 5 new tracks and the other 6 tracks featuring on their previous album, they should technically sell more than 200k.

It's like at the start of the week people were like "The Satudays will struggle for Top 10". You only have to look at their previous releases to see how blind statements like that are.

I agree completely Headlines has also sound 190,000 what's quite impressive. I think The Saturdays seem to be getting more popular, they just need a chance to break the big stage. They would have still been number one had Pixie not performed on Red Or Black.

Pixie Lott 100%

The Saturdays 86.2%

Maroon 5 78.9%

Leona 47.8%

If you read my post I actually agreed that they are far from being irrelevant actually.

But I do think this album will be it. They cant keep going with the shite album sales they have been getting. So the longer it goes on, the higher than chances are of them being dropped.

4 top 10s on the album with 190,000 sales is not impressive though

Pixie is really pulling away then. The Sats are still holding up well. :o

For an album with 4 new tracks and a cover is decent.

Looks like Saturdays have no hope off number one now then with Pixie Lott 13.8% ahead now :(

4 new tracks and 4 top 10s though, so no i dont think its impressive at all. Yes they were on the previous album but noone bought that either

At least they're still holding up, they've actually pulled away from Maroon 5 a bit. They still have Alan Titchmarsh and the physicals, but yeah, it's looking likely Pixie will get the #1 unless she starts to fall during the week.
