OK, I'll retract 'no one' for those of you who can't help but take things literally (and personally) but loads of you have said 'a lot of people won't have heard the song'. I fail to believe this is true or that it would be the reason it's not meeting your chart expectations.

I don't really see many people disagreeing with you that the song just isn't good enough to be challenging for the top spot. That's certainly my perspective on the track.

But if you're going to make a point, its maybe worthwhile to actually read what people are saying, so you can't misinterpret something the way you just did.

I've read every post. A lot of you stated what I said (And I've taken back the 'no one' bit anyway). And I never said the song wasn't good enough for the top spot, I think it's quite good actually, I'm just putting across the point that others might not like it being a better reason for it not going to no.1 than people just not being aware of it.

Saturdays are performing on Alan Titchmarsh now, not sure it'll do much, but any promo is good promo when it comes to a performance.

I havent seen anyone making any exuses, just stating that with the little radio play and only one week TV play which is a fact of how it stands, many people probably havent even heard Collide yet. So as i've always said I'm chuffed its #4 & #5 (EP) on its first week.

You've just made excuses right there.

You've just made excuses right there.

Regina, it's too late, he won't believe you :P

Its not exuses Regina, i'm just stating what i'm seeing which is 1. Not in top 50 on radio. 2. Only having a week of TV play. I see it more as just stating the situation as it is for Collide at the moment. :) Theres nothing to make exuses about like T Boy even said, its top 5! :D

As i've said i'm happy with top 5, I think its doing brilliantly, i'm just excited for the album in November! :music:

Oh dear, the gap between Leona and Maroon 5 is huge - she'll probably have to settle for the top 5.

Hopefully it'll increase in airplay the coming weeks though. Seems like Aviciigate really hurt it.

Well thats what happens to OA/OS songs and many of them have done much better than Collide is doing now.

Yeah thats true, not denying that. :) Well I wouldnt say many though, the first one comes to mind is Price Tag, there must be a few more but OA/OS normally take a while to climb up too after an initial high peak and then begin to fall due to the lack of TV/Radio support at the beginning, which takes time to build up, and ofcourse a lot of them havent done as well as Collide is doing now.

I'm hoping Florence & The Machine can climb with their new single soon.

Oh yeah and when has James Morrison moved his release date too anyone know?

And many of them have done much worse.

Which probably means that Collide is good, but neither great nor bad (in terms of commercial appeal).

#	Artist	%	Mvmt

1 Pixie 100.0 -

2 Sats 84.5 -2.1%

3 Maroon 77.0 -2.5%

4 Leona 48.3 +0.8%

5 Example 46.1 -2.3%

6 Olly 44.3 -2.2%

23 S.Patrol 12.9 -1.3%

Yep, Pixie is pulling away from the others. Maroon 5 seem like they're out of the game now as they're falling quicker than The Sats (which is a suprise).

this thread has kept me entertained over the last 10 mins, reading back through some of the pages!

In other news.... Ms Dynamite  35

How amazing was The Saturdays performance! I hope it climbs after that. I think The Saturdays will be number one in tomorrow's mids but drop to #2 on Wednesday. Still gutted Wet missed the top 20, No doubt it will make it around 6weeks between 20-30.

I'm really pleased about that. I hope she can get top 30. Also yay for Pixie pulling away.

"Collide" on the UK Radio Airplay Chart...

Up to last Saturday:

67 (69) Collide 12.51 million audience impressions, 1.057 plays

Including yesterday:

63 (67) Collide 14.03 million audience impressions, 1.182 plays

Radio needs to pick up on it more!

I'm really pleased about that. I hope she can get top 30. Also yay for Pixie pulling away.

it's now 34 :P
