Posted September 6, 201113 yr Seems a bit early to be starting this but being an historic edition of the series, the Now 80 cover has already been revealed; http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/1080/now80.jpg I love it! Great party theme as opposed to generic usual dark wintery purples, blues and reds for the background.
September 6, 201113 yr I much preferred the days when they had proper colour schemes. For the past few years every cover has merged into one. This is no different. Also the idea of a Now 80 makes me feel OH SO OLD.
September 6, 201113 yr Author Indeed, only a few years until 'NOW 102', which will really roll off the tongue in the TV advert.
September 6, 201113 yr The cover art nowadays is disgusting. They should try and get back to doing designs like this: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d6/Now_33.jpg
September 6, 201113 yr Now! 33, That takes me back. :D I agree with Jark. At one time each new Now! cover had its own style and identity whilst keeping true to the trademark Now! block font. However, for a while now the covers have just been a backdrop of various colours but no actual theme/identity.
September 6, 201113 yr Author South Africa's fairly recent Now 55 was one I'm surprised wasn't nicked for the UK series. Although it's not exactly related to any season; http://www.huisgenoot.com/uploads/articles/now552.jpg
September 6, 201113 yr Out of interest, are Now! going to be doing anything special to celebrate their 80th compilation? Or are they going to wait until they get to Now! 100? :D
September 6, 201113 yr Author Out of interest, are Now! going to be doing anything special to celebrate their 80th compilation? Or are they going to wait until they get to Now! 100? :D They'll probably wait, I remember they did quite a few celebrations for Now 50 in 2001, even paying extra for certain licences for one installment only to get the likes of 5ive, Westlife and J.Lo on there!

Although it's not exactly related to any season; http://www.huisgenoot.com/uploads/articles/now552.jpg Perhaps because that's an absolutely AWFUL cover. Harking back to the one Jark posted, if you look at the covers from Now 30 up to about Now 56, the cover art was for the most part sublime and carried identity. It's been shit ever since, just a mass of multi-coloured and juvenile regurgitation. If you went by the covers alone, you'd think you were buying a Pop Princess Party album.
September 6, 201113 yr Eh, it's alright. Like others have said, it's cover designs have definitely seen better days.
September 7, 201113 yr They'll probably wait, I remember they did quite a few celebrations for Now 50 in 2001, even paying extra for certain licences for one installment only to get the likes of 5ive, Westlife and J.Lo on there! and Destiny's Child. I think NOW 80 will probably be the strongest NOW this year, a good selection of chart hits will make it. Moves Like Jagger, Best Thing I Never Had, Promises, Jar of Hearts, Collide, All About Tonight, Jealousy, Down with Trumpets, Right There, I'm Into You, The Edge of Flory, Pumped Up Kids, Feels So Close. All those would be amazing on the CD
September 7, 201113 yr The recent cover designs are reminiscent of the Pete Tong series but turned shit. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/412JRP5D5CL._SL500_AA300_.jpg http://www.technodisco.net/img/tracks/p/pete-tong/151621-pete-tong-essential-selection-spring-1999.jpg I used to think these had amazing designs at the time. :D

September 7, 201113 yr Now 41 and 35 are probably my favourite covers. I remember the advert for Now 35 and then my brother getting it on casette! Feeling fairly old now...
September 7, 201113 yr You think you're old? I got Now 23 new on cassette  Oh that's nothing. I've got Now 17 on cassette. :D (my brother has Now! the first ever album on 12")
September 7, 201113 yr The first Now album I bought was the one that has Members Of Mayday - Sonic Empire. Can't remember what number was though :nocheer:

Feeling fairly old now... c3dROgHD_IM I remember seeing that advert and I asked my mum for it for Christmas and she never got it me. I didn't get my first NOW until Volume 44.
September 7, 201113 yr Wow, imaginative. That was kinda the point! Generic Summer/Spring things etc stuck behind the same label...
