Very valid point! Hate double standards.

Personally, i've always supported the reduction of price to 59p, it can really help as we've just seen with Jealousy which has climbed, what 10 places since the reduction and is now back in top 10 because of it benefiting from top 10 effect.

I think more labels should consider it, especially when a song is looking to leave top 10, top 20, top 40 etc, keep it in for a few more weeks. :D

They should just make the big new releases 59p for one week or something. I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing some huge sellers if that were to happen.

You'll have to forgive me for having so little faith marb. Actually I've never doubted Jealousy just the commercial radio stations to come on board & support it. I know he doesn't fit on radio 1 & capital still annoy me but he's had brilliant backing from the rest of the network & Heart coming late to the show. Long may it continue. There's some cracking radio friendly tunes on Echoes.

That is the strangest thing that Jealousy is not the strongest track and I hope Runaway or Good Times get released they are ace and very radio friendly.

 Definitely sense some eric sarcasm.

I think Lucky Day is one of those songs that Eric genuinely does love Karma!

I think the reason people called 'Notorious' cheapness desperate was because the song did kinda flop a little, whereas 'Jealousy' really hasn't flopped at each, infact, it exceeded most people's expectations.

 Maybe Klumzee we'll have to wait and see when he responds. :heehee:

Completely agree, i'd love to see a predicted big release come straight in at 59p see how huge the sales would be. It seems to be a real attraction to people if they feel they are saving money :P and 40p on each track, if you download a lot, it all adds up and you can save quite a healthy amount! :P

I think Body & Soul will crack top 10 today, its #12 now so only 2 places, give it a few hours it'll make it i predict. :)

And apparently Paradise is ineligble to chart officially, not sure if thats good or bad really..

Lighters  #17

Cant believe the longevity of Jar Of Hearts, its over all sales are going to be really big!

Also looks like Somone Like You (#31) & Rolling in the Deep (#52) are going to spend the entire year in the top 100 on iTunes, probably longer. Imagine if they were reduced, probably both go back to top 10  The sales of both are big enough as it is, i doubt they'd be reduced.

Potential singles for me too, along with Hearts on Fire & Losing Myself & if we have to have a ballad Silent Valentine at the appropriate time of the year. ;) Jealousy has proved to be a brilliant lead single. Just hope Will & his team get the next choices right.

Thank you for the updates everyone and the interesting comments. :D I'm loving Will's success with Jealousy and it's been a success before the reduction and not because of it. Also for Will to have so much airplay after years without any of note is wonderful to see as a fan, especially since Capital and Radio One ignore him pretty much. :P

I'm looking forward to finding out what the second single will be.

Nope, I love it too  #TeamGinge

Fly  #23

Without You  #26

Titanium needs to be a single. I'm sure it will be.

You and I  #34, not doing much, is she performing it on Jonathan Ross?

Better In Time  #120

Hopefully David Guetta and Usher can prevent Lady GaGa from going Top 40 this week. Amazing song!

Snow Patrol still in the top 20, hopefully it can manage 3 or 4 weeks there officially.

Surprised Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds haven't plummetted yet - they're still at #17. Should be a second top 20 hit for them.

'Arlandria' has fallen quite a bit :( They need to get the video out.

I see 'Cry Baby' (currently #58) is doing quite a bit better than 'I Want You (Hold On To Love)' for Cee Lo Green, much like 'Bright Lights Bigger City' did a lot better than 'It's OK'. Cry Baby is okay but not as good as F**k You! or Bright Lights Bigger City.
