Posted September 17, 201113 yr The answer appears to be Geri Halliwell... is anyone able to add to this list and make it more complete? Remember it's for British females only, with two or more #1 singles. :D Thank you. 4 #1 singles - Geri Halliwell 3 #1 singles - Alexandra Burke 3 #1 singles - Leona Lewis 3 #1 singles - Pixie Lott 3 #1 singles - Billie Piper 3 #1 singles - Sandie Shaw 2 #1 singles - Lily Allen 2 #1 singles - Shirley Bassey 2 #1 singles - Cilla Black 2 #1 singles - Melanie C 2 #1 singles - Petula Clark 2 #1 singles - Cheryl Cole 2 #1 singles - Gabrielle 2 #1 singles - Lisa Stansfield
September 17, 201113 yr Geri will soon be reached fairly soon then by either Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke or Pixie Lott and then probably taken over not too late after that.
September 17, 201113 yr 3 #1 singles - Pixie Lott 3 #1 singles - Billie Piper Their histories are getting more and more similar.

September 17, 201113 yr Weird that Pixie Lott is (joint) 2nd place. Does anyone reckon she could ever get another #1? :o
September 17, 201113 yr Is there a british male solo artist list for #1s too? It'd be interesting to compare them.
September 17, 201113 yr I loved the Spice Girls back in the day but the fact Geri Halliwell even released solo music is something I try to erase from my brain on a weekly basis. Great personality and totally bonkers - AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL songs :(

Robbie Williams - 6 5. Rod Stewart -6 I can't find any with 5 but I should imagine there are some and Will has 4 up to now.

September 17, 201113 yr http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_artis...ber-one_singles This page lists everyone with four or more UK #1s. Geri Halliwell is indeed the only UK female soloist. David Bowie and Dizzee Rascal have each had 5 #1s for the male list. Frank Ifield, Shakin' Stevens, Gareth Gates and Will Young each had 4 (and Gerry Marsden if you count his 3 as part of Gerry And The Pacemakers)
September 17, 201113 yr Weird that Pixie Lott is (joint) 2nd place. Does anyone reckon she could ever get another #1? :o I don't see why her next single shouldn't provided she has good promo (*COUGH* X Factor *COUGH*). It would warm my heart to see her on top of that list!
September 17, 201113 yr You could also put Olivia Newton John on that list who had 3 UK No 1 singles- although raised in Australia she was born in Cambridge and left the UK when she was 6
September 17, 201113 yr Thanks suggy, cant believe Cliff has 14, that probably will never ever be reached again, actually i'd be so sure to say it definitely wont be

JLS have a decent shot of racking up that many if they keep the ball rolling for at least another 4 years  Edited September 17, 201113 yr by Bré

JLS have a decent shot of racking up that many if they keep the ball rolling for at least another 4 years  There's always a slight chance, but i'm 99.9% sure noone will ever get near 14 #1 singles, thats such an insane amount! I doubt JLS will get there, and then thats a new list, #1s for british male bands/groups? Edited September 17, 201113 yr by Karma
