September 20, 201114 yr iTunes is what... 80% of digital market???? No, 2/3rd's max. Probably closer to 60%, I'd say.
September 20, 201114 yr Sounds intriguing. I assume it's the Eurythmics Dave Stewart rather than the other one. They're awesomely horrible. It was all Dave's idea which tells pretty much all about it.. It's like Bob Marley meet Earth Song but 1000xmore Jesuslike and in a form of a group.
September 20, 201114 yr Has Nicola any more promo this week? Saw her on BBC Breakfast & thought she came across really well. They showed a clip of Lucky Day & another track, Sticks & Stones? & she talked about the meaning behind the lyrics.
September 20, 201114 yr Nicola's itunes sales have come through the EP which hits the album chart. It peaked at #8 on Sunday but has since fallen to #39. The combination of that, the signed physical for fans and the few single track downloads have seen it in the top20. It's going to fall off a cliff now but with any luck will stay top40. I'm not sure she has any more promo lined up this week.
September 20, 201114 yr Amazin for Christina Perri album, I wasn't expecting a top 5 for her ! Hasn't her album flopped in the US ? I'm also glad for Kasabian, although I haven't listened to the new album yet so I' can't be THAT glad for them yet. On the single front, MIRACLES DO HAPPEN ! Top 20 for Nicola is better than I expected after the terrible start on Itunes. Of course it should drop a couple (dozen?) of places by Sunday, but well ... It's still about 20 places lower than the position she deserves though.
September 20, 201114 yr What if the Teletubbies were doing a rap? They'd still sound more intelligent than Dappy.
September 20, 201114 yr They're awesomely horrible. It was all Dave's idea which tells pretty much all about it.. It's like Bob Marley meet Earth Song but 1000xmore Jesuslike and in a form of a group. They played Miracle Worker on Simon Mayo and I really liked it and I think the album clips on Amazon sound ok too. Miracle Worker. DUC0YdrrLSo
September 20, 201114 yr Amazin for Christina Perri album, I wasn't expecting a top 5 for her ! Hasn't her album flopped in the US ? And my purchase is still to come, to prop it up. :)
September 20, 201114 yr Shocked for Christina Perri, she should be thanking Glee for this, Imo I don't think Heart would have picked up on the song without Glee.
September 20, 201114 yr Im surprised by Nicola Roberts position as i was judging it by its itunes position, it will drop big through out the week but even if it stays top 50 on sunday it will have done better than i thought, i hope the album can get a half decent peak for her when released. I think maroon 5 will end up #3 on sunday,it may have missed out or (robbed of number 1) but its selling which is great. Joe McElderry has dropped a bit in the album but i can see it crawling back into the top 10 on sunday.
September 20, 201114 yr Pleased to see Will sticking around the top 10 of the album chart, and the single chart. Lots of new releases since Echoes came out too. I expext Joe to drop quite a lot over the next few weeks, and pick up again as Christmas sales kick in. It's that sort of 'what shall I get Gran?' album :)
September 20, 201114 yr This week will reveal the no.1 for my 23rd birthday next Wednesday so I pray that absolutely ANYTHING will get a huge spike in sales and stop the VILE Dappy getting there. Yes, I'd rather have Crazy Frog or the Teletubbies there this week. Maybe even Westlife. I'm 22 on Sunday and I too don't want Dappy at no.1, I would so love to see Maroon 5 at the top, it's been no.1 on my chart for 5 weeks so far :-) Edited September 20, 201114 yr by gagafan
September 20, 201114 yr Has Nicola any more promo this week? Saw her on BBC Breakfast & thought she came across really well. They showed a clip of Lucky Day & another track, Sticks & Stones? & she talked about the meaning behind the lyrics. Nicola also appeared on "The Alan Titchmarsh Show" yesterday. She had a brief chat and performed at the end of the show. I don't watch the show of course. I was channel hopping!!!
September 20, 201114 yr Really thought that Christina Perri had left releasing her album way too late but obviously not :o Hopefully Moves Like Jagger will get back into the top three, the new releases always show up higher in the initial mids...

September 20, 201114 yr I thought Dappy would be a bit higher than 19k, I think that gives him a projected week total of, what, 60k or less? Not great really. At least he should sell more than Nero. (It's not that good a song anyway, would much prefer if James Morrison was the #1 but that was never going to happen) The CDM Chartbreakers version of LP has been deleted from iTunes now so it'll fall heavily from #20 (although it may still just about climb from its #92 position last week?) but it should still be top 40 for the Radio 1 midweek update show. I may have to listen to it. Not live of course as I'll be walking home from school at the time. Brilliant to see The A Team at #7, it's looking like it may go top 10 on iTunes again so hopefully that's a 12th week top 10 in the bag and then it'd be great if it could just hang on for one more week so it overtakes LMFAO/Pitbull as the longest-running top 10 hit of the year. Shocked to see Christina Perri's album currently ahead of Tony Bennett's - but I think usually albums by really old artists tend to hold up better/actually climb through the week so I suspect Tony will end up #4. It'll be his highest charting album ever as long as it stays at #8 or higher anyway so not bad going for an 85-year-old who's been around in the chart on-and-off since 1955. I actually expected SuperHeavy to be higher given its members. They are a little bit awful but it just seems like too big a project for the album to flop in at like #14. I think the act that really deserves the  is not them but Opeth one place below - based on the report saying they're on Roadrunner I assume they're some niche metal band though. Maroon 5 could do what they've already done twice (may have been only once?) where they start at #4 and end up #2, although I expect One Direction will just about stay ahead. September 20, 201114 yr Author I expected CDM Chartbreakers to chart it was #92 last Sunday, plus it was top 20 on iTunes last night, since the track has been deleted, the track will be gone tomorrow. Although I didn't cater for Nicola, she must have high physicals or some sales data missing, as I wasn't expecting Maroon 5 to drop down to #4. On the albums front, I'm actually surprised at Christina Perri been top 5, I was expecting her album to flop and enter the chart around top 50-ish. There are a lot of new albums in there, and some of those, especially the Waterboys and Opeth never expected them to chart.
September 20, 201114 yr The article says that Dappy has a 19k lead over One Direction, an exact figure has not been mentioned as far as I can see but it will be far higher than that or else 1D are on zero sales
