I didn't listen, but I'll assume they just said it was there then got on with the chart. The song's deleted so surely they can't play it - I understand on the Sunday chart but this is only the midweeks.

I think they would've played

1 - Dappy 'No Regrets'

2 - One Direction 'What Makes You Beautiful'

4 - Jason Derulo 'It Girl'

5 - James Morrison 'I Won't Let You Go'

6 - Damienm Rice 'Cannonball'

20 - David Guetta 'Without You'

28 - Nicola Roberts 'Lucky Day'

Yeah, 7 songs in 1/2 hour sounds about right :)

I used to listen to the chart update every week before I got a job, and they used to play between 5 and 7 songs each time (7 was rare, only happened once or twice).

I imagine they wouldn't have played David Guetta. And maybe not Damien Rice either, since it entered the top 40 last week. The did sometimes play "high climbers" though, but that was only when there wasn't enough new entries to play. They might've played Next 2 You aswell, since they play re-entries sometimes.

You know Radio 1 has tracklistings on its website right? ;)

They played the Sak Noel version according to that - plus Lucky Day, Cannonball, I Won't Let You Go, It Girl and No Regrets. I assume Greg acknowledged it wasn't the Sak Noel version but I haven't listened to the show yet.

I pulled my finger out and listened to it now. Yes, he did explain it wasn't the real version that charted.

Impressed that Tori Amos hasn't plummeted this week.

Poor Nicola! Depressing to be worried about not even making the top40!

Nicola is not going to be top 40 on Sunday. Will be at #36 in tomorrow's update and then I can see it only getting to around #45 on Sunday.

I wish the CDM Chartbreakers track naff off, if the track has been deleted off iTunes, it should have disappeared from the chart, my guess its an OCC error, and they have forgot to remove it, as I don't know where the sales are coming from.

No, I don't think this would be a good idea. It's sales should be counted, regardless of what's happening to it on itunes

But what sales has it got if the track has been deleted since Tuesday, if the track is available on other download sales, it would only be a small amount. Its only fallen 4 places from yesterday, surely it would have plummeted. I just don't see the picture.

So Joe is up 5 places from the 1st set of mids!

I know yeah, he may even go back in the top 5 by tomorrow. From 11 to 8 to 6! I can see this album selling 300,000 this year, especially with that X Factor appearance. You heard it from me first!

It's not getting any sales, obviously, but given Sunday is the highest day for sales and Weds/Thurs are the lowest it obviously got enough at the weekend that songs aren't selling that much to overtake it.

Last week #20 sold 15k and #40 sold 8k. There's not really anything to suggest sales wouldn't be very similar this week, so it's quite feasible that being #20 on Tuesday would've been around 5k, with a few more sales on Tuesday AM it's not hard to see how it will take until at least Thursday (sales, so Friday mids) for the #40 to have reached 5k.

Great to see Opeth still in the Top 15, even though I think the album itself is disappointing.
Sats up 2 places :D yay :D

She will.

Yeah, Joe is doing brilliantly!

Im happy to see Joe still on the climb, i really hope it goes platnum for him. Nicola Roberts didnt drop as much today as i thought it would but unfortunatly i cant see it holding top 40 on sunday.
which song- out of the new releases next week, is looking like a surefire #1?

Sak Noel - Loca People most likely.
