September 20, 201114 yr I thought Dappy would be a bit higher than 19k, I think that gives him a projected week total of, what, 60k or less? Not great really. At least he should sell more than Nero. (It's not that good a song anyway, would much prefer if James Morrison was the #1 but that was never going to happen) Reading the Music Week report it suggests he has sold 19k more than One Direction, don't think those are the total sales for the song so far. EDIT: Rich got there before me! Edited September 20, 201114 yr by Cremey
September 20, 201114 yr Can '19' be added to the artist update please? I assume she's at 10+3 today (we have the positions of 5 of the 7 albums she was behind last week and it's fair to assume the two 'unknowns' in the top 10 are Example and David Guetta, then there's 5 new entries) but she could just about stay top 10 as SuperHeavy and Opeth will drop out most likely and she may overtake Laura Marling over the week. September 20, 201114 yr The article says that Dappy has a 19k lead over One Direction, an exact figure has not been mentioned as far as I can see but it will be far higher than that or else 1D are on zero sales  Reading the Music Week report it suggests he has sold 19k more than One Direction, don't think those are the total sales for the song so far. EDIT: Rich got there before me! Oh, right  I blame whoever typed up the update. Maybe he will have decent-ish sales then. It'd be nice if we could have another 100k opening, we haven't had one in a while One Direction obviousness aside.

I own up, I just added 19k, didn't read the lead bit -_- Erm, I think someone might need to check these... On to it now...

Actually, it wasn't that long ago - I forgot about Olly, I was thinking the last one aside from OD was The Wanted.
September 20, 201114 yr I don't get the numbers, like 5+3 for example...what do they mean? it really is quite simple, just add them together and you get the position
September 20, 201114 yr it really is quite simple, just add them together and you get the position Yeah I've just read the top of the thread! But I still don't get the need
September 20, 201114 yr I'm sure its something to do with it being less obvious with the positions, I think the OCC aren't that keen on exact positions on random forums
September 20, 201114 yr Honestly wouldn't have put Dappy down for a #1 single a few weeks back - and after a 153k opening week, would've had One Direction providing more competition than a 19k difference. Having read an interview recently, Dappy intends to release a three/four singles before the album - he calls it 'generating hype' - so I think we can definitely expect to see him at the top end of the chart for a while then - especially as an 'N-Dubz: Greatest Hits' isn't planned until late 2012/2013. As for the album chart, really shocked to see Christina Perri as high as #4 - it somehow charted at #91 a while back, but reaching #4 after two days and based on 'Jar of Hearts' alone is pretty impressive. Expected Kasabian to debut at #1 - but good to see Ed Sheeran still holding strong at #2. Are the likes of Example and David Guetta still in the T10 with their respective albums? I'm hoping the former especially is - it was revealed yesterday that it's sold 100k and been certified 'Gold' in the UK.
September 20, 201114 yr On the albums front, I'm actually surprised at Christina Perri been top 5, I was expecting her album to flop and enter the chart around top 50-ish. There are a lot of new albums in there, and some of those, especially the Waterboys and Opeth never expected them to chart. Not a fan of metal it seems :P And those who say Perri flopped in the US: lovestrong. reached #4 there, hasn't sold over 200k yet though.
September 20, 201114 yr I'm amazed at Nicola Roberts, even though it'll fall into the 30s by Sunday I was thinking it'd make the top 75 at the very best.
September 20, 201114 yr Damien Rice #6 then. I hope that's high enough to maintain a top 10 position by Sunday, I really want him to get a top 10 single to his name.
September 20, 201114 yr But I still don't get the need  Well, you get the + figures or nothing, so............!
September 20, 201114 yr Damien Rice #6 then. I hope that's high enough to maintain a top 10 position by Sunday, I really want him to get a top 10 single to his name. I would love him to make top ten too  Admittedly I only heard it & love it because of The X Factor but it's great that the show can introduce a great acoustic chill-out song like that. It'll be high in my personal chart this week :D Part of me wishes it could be re-released, if radio played it a lot it could have lots of longevity like The A Team. Obviously that won't happen :(

Obviously that won't happen :( I'm sure they'll play it if it hangs around long enough, like what happened to Don't Stop Believin' and Make You Feel My Love (it's still one of Heart FM's most played tracks atm :drama:).

I'm hoping the former especially is - it was revealed yesterday that it's sold 100k and been certified 'Gold' in the UK. They're 8 & 9. I imagine they'll climb throughout the week, ahead of SuperHeavy and maybe Tony/Christina depending on how far ahead they are.
September 20, 201114 yr Oh, 19 is down 10 places today :o Ouch, looks like it will be out of the top 10 this week then as I can't see it climbing 8 places through the week :drama:

There's a good chance it will be back in the top ten by Sunday. Emergency legislation to allow it to be outside the top ten will be rushed through very soon even if it means a recall of parliament.
