Radio 1 is HAMMERING Video Games, it's got great pre-orders and there's so much hype around her all around. Definite top 10.

Actually shocked that I haven't heard anything of this yet. She has ZERO buzz in America (though that's to be expected) but a top 10 overseas would be amazing!

There's been a fake version of 'Video Games' in the iTunes chart for a while as well.

It's only B-list on Radio 1. I think top 20.

It'll 99% certainly be A-Listed on Wednesday. I think the charting fake alone guarantees it'll be at least a top 10 hit. (And I'm someone who initially doubted it'd do anything )

Yeah I'm hoping for Lana Del Ray to "under perform" (??) and rather she was one of those long running top 20 hits (something like Florence and the Machine 'Rabbit Heart') as opposed to one of those long running top 10 hits :(
229. Who You Are - Jessie J

Video was put up on VEVO last night, should break top 200 today, and hopefully get near the top 100 tonight, she could get a small boost from

being on X Factor tonight, as Tulisa's judges houses help.

So wierd I was just going to ask where Who You Are was and then i logged in and it brought me to the exact place you posted it

Brilliant, hope it climbs to top 10 at the least! 100% getting an X Factor performance.

I'm hoping for a SLY (not to such a huge extent ofcourse but big impact performance) effect rather then The Silence effect :( Love WYA.

I like the video, its okay, not incredible though. Like how its simple though.

I hope so! It's a great song but it doesn't strike me as something the UK will get behind, even if the cover version is a good sign.

I think the UK get behind the 'stripped back female ballads' genre quite a lot, particularly this year with Jar of Hearts and Skinny Love, although they usually take a long time to take off, I guess this will happen in VG's case but with a higher debut

Video Games is only currently being played on Radio 1 and indie stations, if it gets top 10 or even top 20 it should hopefully kick off in the same way The A Team did which was in a similar situation.

This isn't really the same as Jar of Hearts though. That was a heartwrenching ballad, easy to relate to. Video Games is more difficult for people to relate to because half the people who hear it on the radio won't have a clue what she's on about and it's not very emotional either. It plods along rather than ever trying to really grab the listener.

True, but I can still see more commercial radio's getting behind it once awareness raises of it's release

Also,

Beautiful by Christina Aguilera (by Janet), Grenade by Bruno Mars (by Melanie) and Tik Tok by Ke$ha (well, a weird ballad arrangement of Tik Tok by 2Shoes)

are being sung on XF. And what's the betting someone does Someone Like You?

The Cover Girl should chart top 75 this week, and maybe top 40 next week if it doesn't get deleted! :o

I don't think it'll make the top 75 tomorrow, I think it'll enter in the 80s-90s like The CDM Chartbreakers did. It's only been top 100 on iTunes for three days out of seven (and it missed Sunday which has a massive effect on even Monday releases, a song that was practically a Thursday release is screwed).

But yeah, it should be top 40 next week unless it gets deleted - The CDM Chartbreakers got deleted on the Tuesday.

I hope it charts top 40 next. I want to hear what it sounds like.

The following songs were performed on X-Factor by groups:

Beyonce - Best Thing I Never Had (The Keys)

Eminem ft. Rihanna - Love The Way You Lie (Esterelles)

Kings of Leon - Use Somebody (Girl V Boy)

The Saturdays - Forever Is Over (The Lovettes)

Jordin Sparks ft. Chris Brown - No Air (The Risk)

Ke$ha - Tik Tok (some ballad version) (2Shoes)

Tinie Tempah - Written In The Stars (plus a bit of Jessie J - Nobody's Perfect) (NuVibe)

Fergie - Big Girls Don't Cry (Rhythmix)

The bolded ones has 'good' edits, ie they were actually shown at length and thus have more chance of propelling songs up iTunes. The ones not bolded were just in sort of a quick montage kind of thing.

I'll keep you up to date with the girls, boys and overs choices to see which songs could climb later! No-one cares about the groups or overs, something sung by the boys or girls is likely to be this week's highly boosted track. Of course, it's unlikely we'll have ANOTHER Iris or Cannonball situation but something should get a nice boost!
