September 27, 201114 yr All people involved in this argument - are you actually going to stay on this site and be 'proper' members or will you just vanish again when Will and Joe drop out of the chart? Just wondering. There are certain fans of Westlife that only show up on here around the end of the year to pummel us with Westlife-related posts before hibernating for another 10 months. As you can see I've been a member of the site for over 5 years and visit most days even when Will is off the music scene. Don't post much but I find the charts fascinating and love to read other posters take on current music. Think I'll go back to lurking :(

September 27, 201114 yr Leona probably moved because she was heading for a #3 entry behind Rihanna and Olly. I think it's a stupid decision though, even if it did peak at #3 it would sell several times as many copies with a pre-Xmas release than a post-Xmas one, she's going to end up struggling to even go platinum I think... Yes, i agree, but i think that having another number one album seems to be more important to Cowell and co than initial sales, Leona is his one real claim for X factor success and he must be desperate to continue to run with that, A number three album or lower will not do for the brand. I know people say she should get away from SYCHO, but if she is signed to a five album deal there isn't any way she could is there? i mean he won't let her go the way he did Alexandra.
September 27, 201114 yr It has been about 2 years since Leona released something, and then another pushed back. Reminds me of Shayne Wards. She gets an X Factor performance in the US and UK, but now nothing I assume. Really horribly managed. It looks like she is still a puppet to Simon/Syco. She needs to break away from them. Just ruining her. And don't understand what is going on with Alex. Nothing at all, and she is expecting to release something by the end of this year as well. Edited September 27, 201114 yr by jonmove
September 27, 201114 yr Wow this thread is so long already after 1 day you'd think the Saturday's had released something :D so hope MLJ or Iris can topple Sak Noel.
September 27, 201114 yr Reminds me of Shayne Wards At least Shayne has moved on. He is starring in Rock of Ages which has had great reviews so far. I have seen a couple of clips of it. Edited September 27, 201114 yr by Compton
September 27, 201114 yr Delighted for Mastodon. Unlikely they'll be in the Top 10 by the week's end, of course, but a Top 15 placing is not off the cards. Disappointed not to see Machine Head there, but it was a very strange decision to release the MP3 album an entire month before the physical. I imagine they'll be in the Top 40 when the physical comes out, but not as high as they should be.
September 27, 201114 yr wow, what a c*ck tease of a chart run for poor MLJ :/ lol Edited September 27, 201114 yr by JK1
September 28, 201114 yr I've never been a fan of Iris. So, I will be happy if Sak Noel or Maristina is number 1 on sunday. One of the most exciting chart battles of the year! :w00t:
September 28, 201114 yr Author Can we stay on topic today please, hopefully we have an update pretty soon.
September 28, 201114 yr Author I think some sales data is missing as nothing has hardly moved from the singles chart, it all looks pretty odd.

September 28, 201114 yr It's not that similar, there are a few movements throughout the chart, 10 songs in a different position to yesterday isn't that few, surely? It was never going to be as high as last week as there aren't any new frontloaded releases plummeting down the chart.
September 28, 201114 yr Thanks for the info. Single chart much as expected but didn't expect such a big jump for Joe in albums :) Nicola holding up quite well too.

The artist that got me was You Me At Six still at #24, and expected Aerosmith to drop maybe I was getting paranoid over nothing.
September 28, 201114 yr Joe is doing so well with Classic - even after taking into account the PSTO effect; its got surprising longevity... Any Example Single/ Album news?
September 28, 201114 yr it's seems joe starts the week low and climbs, will he be top 5 by the end of the week?
