Yeah I can't stop Dope growing on me. It's gone from like bottom 5 material on the album to TOP 5 for me? In a post-ASIB world, I think I have given it the appreciation it deserves.
Brooklyn Nights deserved to be on this album.
The ARTPOP themed night was as incredible, iconic and messy as you'd expect. They played a whole host of album tracks (ARTPOP, Donatella, MANiCURE, Jewels... were the ones I remember) and the singles + pretty much every other Gaga single to date. It was a night to remember.

Should have been for singles:

1. Gypsy

2. Brooklyn Nights

3. Do What You Want with Christina

4. Artpop

5. Applause

How Gypsy wasn't a single, I will never know. Should've been the lead I agree. What a missed opportunity - it's a global stadium ready anthem. :(

I'll never understand the choice not to release Gypsy as either the lead or second single. It was such an obvious hetty smash in the making.

So many strange choices that campaign — no wonder she doesn't have fond feelings of it all.

That should have been 4th single!!

1. Gypsy

2. DWUW Cristina

3. Brooklyn Nights

4. Partynauseous

5. Artpop

6. Applause/ High Princess

Does anyone else get the feeling this could be one of the next albums to randomly rechart on US iTunes.

If any Gaga album was to do it I think it’d be this as many see it as her most underrated / under appreciated era.

ALBUM RANKING:

01. Applause

02. Mary Jane Holland

03. Do What You Want (solo/Christina Aguilera version)

04. G.U.Y.

05. Aura

06. Fashion!

07. ARTPOP

08. Sexxx Dreams

09. Gypsy

10. Venus

11. MANiCURE

12. Dope

13. Swine

14. Donatella

15. Jewels N Drugs

I just listened to this in full whilst on my exercise for the day.

Ranking to follow later but it sounded pretty good tbh. I think it sounds good when I hear it as it’s the album I listen to the least as a whole so it doesn’t suffer from overplay for me.

It’s all over the place at times but there are some huge sounding pop tracks on there too

1. Sexxx Dreams

2. Applause

3. MANiCURE

4. Do What U Want

5. Mary Jane Holland

6. Gypsy

7. ARTPOP

8. Aura

9. Venus

10. G.U.Y

11. Jewels N Drugs

12. Fashion

13. Swine

14. Dope

15. Donatella

My ranking was hard tbh. Like the top 3 and bottom 3 were quite set but there’s not much between the others.

For years Jewels N Drugs was my least favourite but it’s the one track on this what’s aged really well for me same as Mary Jane Holland.

I’ve also never really got the Gypsy love personally although I do think it would’ve been a long running top 10 peaking single for me it sounds quite dated it sounds better live than what it does studio wise.
