I think Sophie could be a real dark horse in this competition. It makes me think of Pop Idol (first series) when all the focus was on Gareth Gates, Rik Waller, Darius and Zoe Berkett - it was only after the live shows started that Will Young started to get more recognision. So this could be great for Sophie. Who'd have thought eh?

Sophie didn't get much airtime during the auditions and Boot Camp, that's why I thought she be a goner over Amelia. I did like Amelia she had potential and diversity to her.

The bad thing is we have shit people still in over the talented Amelia, this wasnt a good twist at all. Amelia would 100% not have gone first if it was down to public.

Amelia was DULL. Nothing about her screamed star quality and she definitely wouldn't have won!

Ironicly, I'd say only Louis made the right choice.

Agree this is a joke that someone who could make a great pop star with a bright future is gone yet Johnny, mad Kitty and Frankie are still there.

Kelly had a hard choice but Amelia has more potential than Sophie it is a shame that her performance was the weakest of the girls yesterday.

My predictions were Rhythmix, Sami, James and Sophie. So clearly I know nothing. Very pleased Louis actually made a sensible decision for once though, though it did get me worried that something had gone very wrong with the world.

 

Tulisa is dead to me. There is no point having two fairly similar boybands in the show as they'll just eat into each other's fanbases and Rhythmix speak for themselves. Knew it was between Amelia and Sophie, but I was still under the impression Sophie's lack of existing would guarantee her elimination.

Rather mixed feelings with the choices - surprisingly, Louis made the best decision, for me! Gary alsoo chose my least favourite performance of last night, but I did actually like James. 2 Shoes and Amelia were AMAZING, and both were sabotaged with their song choices.

 

I'm hoping for a Sophie win now; hopefully she'll pull an Alexandra on us all :D Also buzzing for both performances next week ^_^

Was it just me or did Misha give either Amelia or Sophie a really dirty look when her name was called out? :/. Oh and actually really pleased Sophie got through, thought she was a goner, hopefully she gets far in this competition.

I think people need to realise that X Factor is a success because it attracts different strata of viewers. Yes Buzzjack members like to watch and listen to girls and hope they become #01 artists and a flurry of massive pop bars to come in the future but the reality is quite different. The Overs bring an element of entertainment to the disinterested (musically speaking), the boys are there for teenage girls and housewives and the groups fit in somewhere amongst all of those.

 

Just have some perspective sometimes people. Amelia and Sophie are unlikely to ever have long term successful careers. Certainly not at 16 for Amelia, who would buy her music? Where is the appeal? Perhaps if she waits 5 years and finds a slightly more suitable image she'll stand a chance then...

I think the same about Pixie Lott? :unsure: And i get the same vibe from Amelia that I do with Pixie, even though Amelia is a much better singer..so maybe the Pixie fanbase would be the same as Amelia's, young girls?
