Oh crap, Maroon 5 will be ROBBED again. Still don't get why Rihanna didn't wait til next Sunday to release her track.

Presumably because she has a better chance of #1 on half a week's sales this week, than on a full weeks sales next week against far stiffer competition?

Yeah I reckon M5 can still do it too. It's mostly Rihanna's stans (navy if you insist) downloading it now

'Stans'?

Maroon 5 down to ~43.3%.

On an unrelated note, they're playing this on Radio 1 RIGHT NOW

It means an obsessed fan, coming from the Eminem song Stan one of the characters in the narrative kills himself because his idol didn't reply to his letter, meaning he loved him a bit too much. Now it means anyone who really really loons for an artist, even if they don't go quite that far.

Presumably because it was the Chart Update #1? :P

Actually, I think it's more likely because the cover version of the song made top 40 in its first week and if they'd left it for another month it would have cost RiRi a lot of sales. Hopefully, the success of this decision will resurrect the old On Air/ On Sale format which seems to have been sadly neglected recently in record companies dash to get an easy No 1. I can but hope..

I do think OA/OS should come back. The chart stinks of WESTLIFE at the moment with songs being held back to make a big initial impact and then fade away fairly quickly. As for WFL, I imagine it would have been no.1 already if it had been OA/OS.

Steps update:

It's The Way You Make Me Feel #403

Deeper Shade Of Blue #502

One For Sorrow (Tony Moran Mix) #614

Summer Of Love #659

5,6,7,8 #933

Stomp #937

Last Thing On My Mind #1013

One would assume that Better Best Forgotten would be here given the prominence it had on last night's show. What a shame then that it appears to not be available on iTunes!?! Gold isn't on there, obviously in preparation for the new Ultimate Collection and the US version of Step One that seems to be on iTunes doesn't have it on there...

Will be interesting to see if cherry picks from the new album help to get any of these songs higher come next week. The album is the 2nd top album pre-order on iTunes right now only behind Coldplay! The two versions of the album are #14 and #83 on Amazon's overall chart, the top one being the current 2nd highest pre-order, again only behind Coldplay.

Who knew Steps still had a chance at success in 2011? :o

How do you see songs that are not in the Top 1000?

use Mozilla browser, it showing top 1024

Thank you!

01. Rihanna - We Found Love 100%

02. Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger 42.2%

10. Bad Meets Evil - Lighters 17.5%

11. Charlene Soraia - Wherever You Will Go 14.8% :cheer: Who would have thought this would have done the best out of the new releases.

17. Pixie Lott - All About Tonight (This shows there is a top 10 effect)

23. Lady Gaga - You & I (Should Climb to around #21 on iTunes tonight)

24. Florence & The Machine - Shake It Out 6.5%

25. The Saturdays - All Fired Up 6.2%

26. Marina & The Diamonds - Radioactive 6.1%

27. Lady Gaga - The Edge Of Glory

43. My Hearts A Stereo - Stereo Hearts

49. Leona Lewis - Collide

52. Lady Gaga - Born This Way

78. Sylar Grey - Invisible

94. Lady Gaga - Bad Romance

96. Lady Gaga - Telephone

99. Lady Gaga - Judas

So Rihanna's lead is still increasing but a lot slower. Still think she has it in the bag.
Is it me or is that lead beginning to slow up? Obviously Rihanna would never be able to sustain that leads for a long time but its barely going up now (wasn't it only .45 earlier?). It will probably climb bit by bit for now but it wouldnt surprise me if M5 began to get closer from tomorrow. I still think Rihanna will do it but possibly by only a few thousand.
