It seems the 'unknown female does a piano version of an old rock song for an advert, gets a top 40 hit' formula is getting better and better success each time. Not including Ellie Goulding in this as she was well-known beforehand (or Fyfe Dangerfield as he's male  and also relatively well-known beforehand, although not so much as a solo artist) but the three main ones so far have been Taken By Trees, Templecloud and now Charlene Soraia. Who knows, one day one of these songs may go to #1 solely from being on an advert.

Maroon 5 up to 43.2% (and another 1.4% from the album version). It'll probably get back over 50% by tomorrow afternoon then, which I predicted would mean it'll get #1 officially. Perhaps I should save my judgment until tomorrow's mids I suppose.

I'd like to think it's just the fact 'Everyday' has leaked and it's her best ballad since then? Maybe it's got people interested in a Brit ballad? She had 'Out From Under' and 'Unusual You' on her last album and they were wasted away in favour for a 'Blackout' album track, which had gotten old by the time of release!

....and dont forget Heaven on Earth :P

Everytime up to #890 now

Everytime was played quite prominently during X Factor USA a couple of hours ago...

Shh! Don't say that! I like my thinking better! :(
By the way, does anyone know why 'A Thousand Miles' has been back in the chart again recently? YouTube comments don't seem to be helping me out with this one.

Its being used on an advert

lol. Quite a few instances of coincidental promoting of Everytime today then.

Ed Sheeran's next single is climbing so fast now.

It would make more sense Glee putting all of their songs down to 59p, I doubt any song will reach the top 40.

Rihanna increasing again!

Rihanna 100%

Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger 42.8%

LOVE that song. Even if it was Sunblock's version that made me take notice of it in the first place :heehee:
I'm still saying 50/50 when it comes to whether Rihanna will reach #1..
I personally think it's all Maroon 5's and I think RiRi will have to settle for 3rd (behind Sak Noel as well) :( Ah well.

Glee ep.3 update:

 53. Fix You (Glee Cast Version) - Glee Cast

 75. Run the World (Girls) [Glee Cast Version] - Glee Cast

 84. Out Here On My Own (Glee Cast Version) - Glee Cast

 92. Spotlight (Glee Cast Version) - Glee Cast

 110. It's All Over (Glee Cast Version) - Glee Cast

 194. Cool (Glee Cast Version) - Glee Cast

'Fix You' is not as high as I'd expected/feared it would be - looks like it won't be threatening the top 40 :D

 77. Fix You - Coldplay

This is in the top 30 in the USA! Obviously won't get as high here as not even the Glee version will go much higher than that but hopefully this can get one or two more top 100 weeks out of this anyhow.

I think Friday-Sunday sales are higher than Monday-Thursday. So if Rihanna's big lead is on M5's low sales days it doesn't mean she can outsell their total. If we see M5 climbing today and tomorrow this could be the reason. I still believe RiRi is the outsider for the no1. Even if she was heading for a 100k full week she will settle at 70k max this time which is what M5 are expected to do anyway...

Why not release next week?
