Yes she's brought it forward to Wednesday :/

I like it but M5 REALLY deserve #1 this week... :snif:

It might not be enough for Rihanna, as M5 will have the advantage of 3 days of sales including Sunday which is the biggest download day as far as I can remember.

Rihanna Navy UK! The wait is over We Found Love will be available on iTunes Wednesday at midnight!

Whether that means midnight tonight, or midnight tomorrow, is anyone's guess.

Poor Maroon 5! I hope they just make it this week :(

TEAM RIRI.

I really, REALLY hope she manages to get number 1. I think she could do it. 70k in just one day and a half for GaGa. So surely Rihanna could get 80k-85k in 4 full days of sales? GAH. THIS IS EXCITING.

I hope she misses it tbh.

Rihannas release isn't even half as anticipated as Gagas as she constantly bombs fans with new materials so I highly doubt she will go #1

I think it means midnight tomorrow, I think it will peak #3 the most as the track has lost 4 days in sales, probably as high as 60k to 70k or more depends how big it could have been if the track was released on a Sunday.

But she has a ridiculous amount of fans though and this song has been received amazingly. She won't sell as much as GaGa did, no way, but I think she could sell that + a little bit more in 4 days at least. Which I think is perfectly do-able. And there's obvious demand for it right now considering that "fake" version is almost top 20...

EDIT: How much did Katy Perry sell in 2008 with 'I Kissed A Girl' after a mid week release, to help her get to number 4?

It only has 3 days of sales unless by 'midnight Wednesday' she means 8 hours from now (it's an ambiguous phrase).

I hope that Rihanna can get to #1 - no matter how unlikely it is.

Not only will it give Rihanna another #1, I want MLJ to be this "iconic" #2. 6 consecutive weeks at #2 must be a record? Although it'd be interesting to see M5 get their first ever UK #1 and for Christina to get her first #1 in nearly 9 years.

All-4-One's I Swear and Jo Stafford's You Belong To Me both spent 7 consecutive weeks at #2 (the former never got #1 as it was stuck behind Wet Wet Wet the whole time, the latter did get one week in at the end of the run) and Right Said Fred's I'm Too Sexy also did 6 consecutive weeks behind Bryan Adams (also never reaching #1).

However, if M5 do miss #1 this week (which is surely their last chance, it's been said many times before but it really must be this time) it probably will have the record for being #2 behind the most different songs without going to #1. Might even have the overall record for being #2 behind the most different songs regardless of whether or not the song in question got to #1 at some point.

Its seems that Rihanna is dropping the song today at midnight.. and not tomorrow... So she will indeed have 4 days to sell... It is already #1 in the Irish iTunes.

Is this true? I guess it could be taken as Midnight tonight. (00:01 Wednesday)

I really want Maroon 5 at #1 this week, could Maroon 5 get another week at #2  talk about getting nipped by a whisker again.

37. Need You Now - Lady Antebellum

102. Need You Now - Lady Antebellum

Anyone got an explanation for this then? It's annoying how this keeps recharting (this will be its sixth run in the official top 100). One day it'll actually have a good sales total. Which is a bad thing because it's shit. Kudos to it for being pretty much the only semi-successful country song of recent times in the UK I suppose but no kudos for its quality.

69. Just a Kiss - Lady Antebellum

150. Just a Kiss - Lady Antebellum

That's less hard to explain since their new album came out yesterday. (It's now #1 on iTunes albums  HOW?)

Maybe their new album is making people realise that they like 'Need You Now'? New albums are known to give a slight boost to older songs in the artists catalogue... Or maybe they performed on daybreak or something. It is strange how their album is number 1 on iTunes

Oh and I reckon as soon as someone performs it on XF it'll go top 10. I get the feeling an XF performance of the song is just around the corner. Surely?!

It seems like a perfect Janet song. Which will make me hate it, but never mind.
LADY ANTEBELLUM  Someone HAS to sing Need You Now, it'd be great for Janet or Amelia!

Need You Now WAS on the X Factor just a few days ago was it not? And it only got back to the low top 100. Unless it was recharting for some other reason

I know the 'new album effect' does exist but I don't think it'd be quite strong enough for a song to get back into the top40 with another version just outside the top 100!

EDIT: It actually re-entered the top 100 only 2 days ago (at #78 and climbed to #74 last night - 8pm positions obv.) so maybe that was the 'new album effect' and it's now suddenly got a massive boost for some reason.

Yeah. That's why I thought maybe they performed on Daybreak or something. The most baffling thing is earlier I saw them as low as #5 in the albums chart but now they're number 1... maybe an afternoon show?

Oh and yes I think I recalled someone singing it (Carolynne I think) but she hasn't been given much screen time so it wouldn't have done too much with her performing it. I'm surprised it got low top 100 tbh

They probably did perform on one of the TV shows which would explain the rise of their album and 'Just A Kiss', but not 'Need You Now' - unless they performed that instead of a newer song, which to be fair would probably be the best thing for them to do as it'd almost certainly generate more sales than a performance of any of their other songs.

And yeah, I am almost certain I remember Liam posting a list of the songs used on XF and NYN was on there - then again I swear I saw Someone Like You on there as well and I looked back and found I was wrong

You could be right, if it got a proper slot on the X Factor it could get a new peak possibly in the top 10. Unfortunately. It's sort of one of 'those' songs that would do that.

I'm hoping Amelia will sing 'Who Knew' and kick that back into the top 10! She'd ace that.

Oh and NYN is featured in a TV advert for LA's new album.

Who Knew was used last year (by One Direction IIRC) and barely troubled the top 100.
