May 5, 201213 yr LOVED Becky, just edged out Cassius to become my favourite of the night, even more so because I'd never heard that Basement Jaxx song before! :o The quality wasn't as good overall as last week but still alright. Bo was good, a nice vocal from her, I thought she did a decent rendition of it to be honest: Final rankings: 01. Becky Hill - "Good Luck" 02. Cassius Henry - "Paradise" 03. Hannah Berney - "Cry Me a River / Cry Me a River" 04. Bo Bruce - "Running Up That Hill" 05. David Julien - "Sweet Disposition" 06. Ruth-Ann St. Luce - "Promise This" 07. Max Milner - "Freefallin'" 08. Aleks Josh - "Dream a Little Dream" 09. Toni Warne - "Proud Mary" 10. Vince Kidd - "Always on My Mind"
May 5, 201213 yr Rankings for tonight: 1. Max Milner 2. David Julien 3. Bo Bruce 4. Hannah Berney 5. Cassius Henry 6. Ruth-Ann St. Luce 7. Becky Hill 8. Toni Warne 9. Vince Kidd 10. Aleks Josh Max was my favourite audition and he didn't disappoint (it wasn't as good as the audition but then it was a less interesting song choice). My overall favourites are definitely Max, Jaz and Tyler at the moment, with Frances and David completing my top 5. Bo was FAR better than she was at audition/battle :o Very pleasant shock. Other than those 3 not a great show really, Hannah and Cassius were both good (I expected more of the latter though), Ruth-Ann, Becky and Toni were okay, Vince was meh and Aleks just sounded like a bad Bublé impersonator. Landslide victory for Team Danny, with four of his five making up my top 4! (The other one is last though :P) Vince and Aleks for out please. Edited May 5, 201213 yr by B.r.É
May 5, 201213 yr 01 David Julien - "Sweet Disposition" 02 Max Milner - "Freefallin'" 03 Bo Bruce - "Running Up That Hill" 04 Becky Hill - "Good Luck" 05 Aleks Josh - "Dream a Little Dream" 06 Toni Warne - "Proud Mary" 07 Hannah Berney - "Cry Me a River / Cry Me a River" 08 Vince Kidd - "Always on My Mind" 09 Cassius Henry - "Paradise" 10 Ruth-Ann St. Luce - "Promise This" Hadn't really noticed David until now, but that was a fantastic performance! On the other end of the scale, Ruth-Ann was just painful. I hope Jessie doesn't keep her just so she can make her 'progress' and ultimately see her fail every week. Danny's team was a lot stronger tonight which surprised me!
May 5, 201213 yr The weakest group was Team Jessie tonight, nobody stood out apart from Cassius, if I had to pick someone from Jessie's group to leave tomorrow has to be Ruth Ann. Team Danny had the best acts vocally, my favourites were Bo and David, I think Max is safe, its between Hannah and Aleks to go leave the show, I'm thinking it could be Aleks 01. Bo Bruce - "Running Up That Hill" 02. David Julien - "Sweet Disposition" 03. Max Milner - "Freefallin'" ==== 04. Cassius Henry - "Paradise" 05. Becky Hill - "Good Luck" 06. Hannah Berney - "Cry Me a River / Cry Me a River" 07. Aleks Josh - "Dream a Little Dream" 08. Toni Warne - "Proud Mary" 09. Vince Kidd - "Always on My Mind" 10. Ruth-Ann St. Luce - "Promise This" Leave the show Team Jessie: Ruth Ann Leave the show Team Danny: Aleks Josh
May 5, 201213 yr Leave the show Team Danny: Aleks Josh As much as this show is supposed to be just about the voice, do you seriously think teenage girls (and gays) will not vote enough to keep him in, whether he gave a bad performance or not (which he didn't)?
May 5, 201213 yr Author Pour moi:  01 David Julien - Sweet Disposition (shock of the series tbh, I wasn't massively keen on him before but he blew that away!Wow.) 02 Hannah Berney - Cry Me A River/Cry Me A River (she's probably gone tomorrow, but I loved the mash-up and she really has a great voice! I agree with Jark though earlier in the thread, not a star) 03 Bo Bruce - Running Up That Hill (the Kate loon in me was too harsh on it methinksm, watching it back she was fantastic. I need to judge it as a standalone and not up to Kate Bush, it's just she is so unique it's so hard to do her) :D 04 Becky Hill - Good Luck (overall she is my favourite, but I was disappointed by that, still very good but she can do much better I know) 05 Max Milner - Freefallin' (same as above really, except he's not overall my favourite) 06 Toni Warne - Proud Mary (very very karaoke but a fantastic rendition! Her voice is so suited to it, although I'd rather she took more of a risk as her voice is brilliant!) :) 07 Ruth-Ann St. Luce - Promise This (totally all over the place, the good bits were good but the bad bits were absolutely ABYSMAL! I think it's best she goes though as she clearly is out of her depth!) 08 Vince Kidd - Always On My Mind :( 09 Aleks Josh - Dream A Little Dream 10 Cassius Henry - Paradise (Lily Allen summed it up best on Twitter - about as risky as beans on toast!) Much higher standard tonight, no-one was awful but the last two in this rank didn't appeal to me at all. Overall from the two weeks, my top 5 would probably be: 01 Ruth 02 Becky (despite tonight's disappointment) 03 Joelle 04 David 05 Tyler Prediction: Team Danny - Aleks vs. Hannah, Hannah goes home Team Jessie - Ruth-Ann vs. Toni(?), Ruth-Ann goes home Fairly sure on Team Danny, unsure on Team Jessie - Cassius could join Ruth-Ann but tbh I'm sure she's gone no matter who she's against. But knowing Jessie and her 'she isn't meant to be perfect, she's here to grow' attitude, Ruth-Ann might stay
May 5, 201213 yr As much as this show is supposed to be just about the voice, do you seriously think teenage girls (and gays) will not vote enough to keep him in, whether he gave a bad performance or not (which he didn't)? Why pick me :( Liam did the same. :P anyhow that's how the bottom 2 are going to fall out of Danny's group, as the other 3 acts are the strongest, so it has to be Aleks or Hannah.
May 5, 201213 yr Author Because I posted afterwards? :P But I really can't see a bottom 2 other than that. Bo is unlikeable so may be in danger but after an emotional performance, sob story and pimp slot I can't see it myself...
May 5, 201213 yr Overall I think the quality of last weeks show was better but Max Milner was my personal show stealer this week. I thought he did an excellent rendition of 'Free Fallin'. On the flip side, Ruth was absolutely tone deaf, she totally lost the melody and the pitching of the song meaning her vocals at times clashed badly with the piano. My advice to Ruth would be "forget everything Jessie J told you in rehearsals and do your own thing". If she survives tomorrow and is crap next time, she's a definitelty goner. As for Aleks, I've purposely put him second bottom because whilst techically he sounded better than he's ever done so far, he ultimately sounded like Michael Bublé (we already have Buble, does the UK really need a clone? - see Leon Jackson). He also looked completely smug throughout his performance. Me no like!!! :( Max Milner - "Freefallin'" Becky Hill - "Good Luck" David Julien - "Sweet Disposition" Cassius Henry - "Paradise" Vince Kidd - "Always on My Mind" Bo Bruce - "Running Up That Hill" Hannah Berney - "Cry Me a River / Cry Me a River" Aleks Josh - "Dream a Little Dream" Ruth-Ann St. Luce - "Promise This" ** Toni Warne - "Proud Mary" <--- missed Toni's performance
May 5, 201213 yr On a different note, I was worried for Becky, with the long rope I kept on thinking is it long enough. :heehee:
May 5, 201213 yr Hannah and Bo by far my faves tonight. I actually have hated Bo till tonight, but her voice and song just suited perfectly. Obvs the sad story about her mum helped but still beautiful. As for Hannah, ridiculously good vocal. Sounded like she'd been performing live for years, but like Jark said, a star? Na-uh. Definitely not with that nose. Let's see what she can bring in the next few weeks. ^_^ Edited May 5, 201213 yr by Johnny
May 5, 201213 yr Rankings Really liked my top 3, Becky was good but could've been better. Aleks has a great voice but the song choice was dull. 6-9 were average and Ruth was terrible. 01. David Julien - "Sweet Disposition" 02. Vince Kidd - "Always on My Mind" 03. Bo Bruce - "Running Up That Hill" 04. Becky Hill - "Good Luck" 05. Aleks Josh - "Dream a Little Dream" 06. Hannah Berney - "Cry Me a River / Cry Me a River" 07. Max Milner - "Freefallin'" 08. Toni Warne - "Proud Mary" 09. Cassius Henry - "Paradise" 10. Ruth-Ann St. Luce - "Promise This" What I want: Team Jessie: Ruth Ann vs. Cassius, Ruth Ann leaves Team Danny: Max vs. Hannah, Max leaves What I think: Team Jessie: Ruth Ann vs. Toni, Toni leaves (:drama:) Team Danny: Hannah vs. Aleks, Hannah leaves
May 5, 201213 yr Author What I think: Team Jessie: Ruth Ann vs. Toni, Toni leaves (:drama:) I'm actually terrified this might happen :( Jessie: Well Ruth-Ann, you need to grow, whereas Toni you're already a star. But this show is about growth, and Toni you're there, so I'm taking through... Ruth-Ann. *shocked audience, pissed judges, massive Twitter backlash* Me: NO IT'S f***ING NOT, IT'S ABOUT TALENT. :drama:
May 5, 201213 yr Bo Bruce was just amazing tonight, and for me second was for Max, did a great version of Free Fallin'. Team Danny definitely won it tonight for me! :D

Ruth-Ann. *shocked audience, pissed judges, massive Twitter backlash* Me: NO IT'S f***ING NOT, IT'S ABOUT TALENT. :drama: Sounds oh so similar to something from the bible according to Simon Cowell. If in doubt, go with the most ridiculous decision to guarantee publicity...and a drop in viewing figures. :D I think I'd be more gobsmacked if Ruth Ann just got the sympathy vote and somehow miraculously avoided the bottom 2. May 5, 201213 yr There were a few contestants taking a risk tonight. Vince Kidd took a familiar song (Always On My Mind) and did it in a very different style from the two best known versions (Elvis and Pet Shop Boys). Judging by comments on Twitter (before it collapsed in a heap) many people thought that doing a Kate Bush cover was practically sacrilegious. I might have said that myself before hearing The Futureheads' version of Hounds Of Love. Two contestants did recent songs (Paradise and Sweet Disposition) and then there was the mash-up of two songs which just happened to share a title (Cry Me A River). Most of those risks paid off with the obvious exception being Cassius Henry's Paradise. Jessie J said in Graham Norton's show last night that she thought the coaches should be more critical and she tried to set an example with some of her comments. It was a pity some of the audience didn't seem to like that. Aleks Josh was good after a nervous start but I'd like to hear him do something in his own style. He is very cute so is bound to get through. Ruth-Ann's performance was awful. Jessie J seemed to struggle to be diplomatic.
