Oh dear, Leanne winning will be a nail in the coffin for this show... she stands no chance at all of being successful in the current market and this probably says more about the voting demographic who have been watching the show. :/

seriously?! :mellow: not that I'm watching (or intend to!) but Bo & Tyler and even Vince were always so much more unique and marketable, I can't see her having much of a career at all...

I imagine the number of votes for all of them was comparatively low for this type of show so it was always possible that it could go to any of the four finalists.

I doubt she'll have a successful career, the public will have forgotten all about her whilst the credits were still rolling. That said, I found Bo rather unlikeable and Tyler's had a recording contract before so it's nice for her, she seems very genuine and down to earth.

:no: Leanne was a good singer but I was hoping she wouldn't win. 'OMG' really ruined Tyler's chances of winning, imo - the song didn't really suit him well. I can't see any of them having successful careers. Leanne will have a top 5 album during Christmas, Tyler and Bo could get a top 10 if they release a single in the next 3 months - as they will obviously get lots of Radio 1 support. Disapointing show, they really need to spark it up next year to get more interest.

 

X Factor 1 - 0 The Voice :(

Actual lol! I don't want to sound big headed but I KNEW this would happen :lol: I loved Leanne but my god, worst possible winner (for the show's reputation) much? I actually burst out laughing when Holly said Leanne had won, oh my days :rofl:

Really surprised at the outcome, when the audience couldn't stop clapping for Tyler and Bo, Leanne reminds me a bit of Michelle McNanus (but on a smaller scale :heehee: ) here today gone tomorrow.

Let's be honest, if it is on who had the best technique and the best vocal range then Leanne deserved to win hands down tonight. Her performance of 'Run To You' really was the standout of the final also. The only problem with her winning is that she isn't the most marketable as an artist really, especially as she had no chance on the show to sing anything new to prove her relevance, however I suppose that is a major flaw in the shows concept as she deserves to win due to having the best voice, but this will also cause there to be even more 'flop winners' than on X Factor, as I think this case will unfortunately prove. I hope I am proved wrong though as she sung amazingly tonight.

I wonder if the BBC will post a breakdown of the votes. They also didn't even say how many votes were cast tonight, like they do on The X Factor. So to echo Dandy's comment, they probably had 1,001 votes tonight. :lol:

I agree with you really, as it's 'The Voice' the right person won, but with how awfully unmarketable she is even the likes Alex Parks and Steve Brookstein will watch and laugh to be honest.

Both Bo and Tyler will get recording contracts, the show's life hinges on their success now really.

I always liked Leanne but am shocked she won, and for the show she will be the hardest person to market and the hardest to achieve any success, tyler and bo would have been so much easier to market, but based on voice alone the right person won.

I also really liked Leanne and her verison of 'Run To You' was brilliant but i didnt think she would of won!

Totally agree with you.

Leanne relies far too much on screeching. Tyler and Bo were far better although I agree that Tyler's version of OMG just demonstrated what a poor song it is. I can't see Leanne having much of a career whereas Tyler and Bo could both do well if they get a recording contract.

I really liked her rendition of 'Run To You' tonight. To be honest, I like that the result was a "shock", good on her for winning. :)
