October 14, 201113 yr omg! I know, how dare he sing covers on a contest that requires people to sing covers :P Did Matt Cardle cover Shania Twain "Man! I Feel Like A Woman" on Live Lounge (heard it on R1 the other day and it sounded like him but not 100% sure)? If he did, what an absolute stinking pile of crap - why choose a song like that? Idiot. Right now I can't stand Pitbull. STOP RUINING PERFECTLY GOOD POP SONGS FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. He is like AIDS. Once he got a foothold he spread and now he's claiming the lives of THOUSANDS of pop songs every year. LOL! Hilarious and so, so true :D

It was a dare during a feature Scott Mills wanted to play with on the Breakfast show. Mills and his producer picked the song. So 'idiot' is a bit harsh. Once again, Matt manages to fall under the axe of misinformation.

Therefore I'm still inclined to say he's an "idiot" but maybe not a full scale one.

I'll give you that, it's just your original post indicated it was because of the choice, which wasn't his. I'd still disagree personally though, but then I like Matt's voice :P One Direction are annoying me. I didn't mind their song but I want to kill them in interviews. Unlike Matt, Rebecca or even Cher they seem to lack direction ( ) and are literally in it for the fame and screaming girls rather than a want to share their music. But then if you get shoved into a band for your looks and the fact that your an extremely weak singer on your own then I suppose fame would be your top priority.
October 14, 201113 yr Cher Lloyd should be banned from recording studios for life. I'm not a hater, Cher, I just have ears. HA! Perfectly put.
October 14, 201113 yr HA! Perfectly put. My dislike of Cher has toned down recently because unlike One Direction (see my previous post) she does seem to genuinely want to share her music with the world. Just a shame it's shite really, isn't it?

October 14, 201113 yr Cher Lloyd is a tart who should have been jailed as her going to #1 caused the riots in August. I wonder what will happen if her next single goes to #1. Beyonce.....what the f*** has happened in this era! Very bad songs......she needs a new songwriter and producer ASAP.

I actually liked Matt's voice on the show too. I wasn't really fussed who won because tbh I thought TreyC had the best voice by a country mile, and once she was gone it didn't really matter to me who won; I kinda liked Cher because she was bringing something different and current to the show but she was incredibly annoying and over-confident/arrogant. That's what annoys me about Matt right now. He's become so arrogant and egotistical, trying to distance himself from the show somewhat and somehow return to being a "credible artiste". Ain't happening pal. Leona Lewis hasn't managed it in 5 years despite her massive success from her first album; equally no artist from the show has managed it. Matt is rapidly turning into a Steve Brookstein character and ultimately I think he will suffer the same fate. And doing dares for female song doesn't really conform to his attempts to become a "credible artiste". Re One Direction - Harry in particular annoys me. He cannot answer a question in an interview without first looking at the camera to give the young 'uns a cheesy smile. Eugh. The sooner they are gone the better. And the REALLY annoying thing - "WMYB" is f*****g brilliant :S How does doing a poor cover make him an 'idiot'? See my reasons above. Not entirely cover related but they account for at least 75% of the "idiot" rating.

I would agree with most of that. Matt is certainly done himself no favours and if Twitter is anything to go by he's really alienated the people who supported him on the show with his comments. He obviously wants to distance himself but at what cost to his career? Cher is possibly one of the most annoying people on the planet. Thinks she's about a million times more talented than she is. Any teenage girl with enough confidence could do what she does. As much as Matt is not my bag and I don't like his attitude to say the least, I find it incredible that Cher and One Direction are given more promotion and airplay than Matt who can at least sing. Syco are messed up.
October 14, 201113 yr Cher and 1D are getting more effort put into them than Matt because they're more 'marketable'. Fair enough about OD who will probably end up being the biggest stars produced by the 2010 series unfortunately just as JLS were the biggest from 2008, but I doubt Cher could sell albums to save her life whereas Matt will be able to sell albums much more easily. I agree Syco are useless, I'm hoping they do drop Matt because I think he could do better without them (if he becomes signed to Columbia alone) and it would make steps (no pun intended) towards shaking off the XF tag. It'll be difficult to get rid of it but if Girls Aloud, Lemar and Will Young could successfully distance themselves from P:TR, FA and PI respectively I see no reason why Matt couldn't with XF.

Sure understand the teenage market for One Direction entirely just think its a shame when it image over vocal talent or ability. I guess its the way of the world though. Joe has certainly done better after leaving Syco but even I am surprised not because he doesn't derserve it but because of the stigma of getting dropped & that's hard to turn around. Matt is better off without Syco in a lot of ways as they are truly awful but I think he is stuck between a rock and hard place as he want's to a be a "credible artist" and distance himself but the people he wants to appeal to might not want to welcome him because of the XF tag. Also Joe took a huge risk that didn't pay off with the style change for Wide Awake, which Universal have tried to reverse with this release. If Matt's album doesn't do well what does he change?
October 15, 201113 yr It's interesting that everyone was behind Matt Cardie to win the X-Factor, but since winning he has been a huge cock. He has slated the programme for not being credible, which didn't stop him from performing last weekend. If I had been in charge of the show, and I knew singing Firework was pissing him off that much, I would have insisted he sang 'It's Chico Time' the following week!
October 18, 201113 yr Justin Bieber. Annoying that he has released an Xmas song two mouths before Xmas and we're not even past Halloween. Still his song 'Mistletoe' will be a short-priced favourite to be No1 in our Hate Chart
