October 12, 201114 yr Ed Sheeran has re-overtaken Adele on iTunes - I know that's hardly the best indicator but since sales are so low/close, I wouldn't actually rule out Ed being back at #1 this week. It could go to any of the top 4 really (but I think Adele is most likely). I wonder what the reason for its boost is? It can't be Lego House giving it this much of a boost already surely? He was heavily featured on the Radio 1 Teen Awards, and Radio 1 have played his performance a few times since.
October 12, 201114 yr Author Am I the only one that thinks that the Evanescence album is seriously poor? Melody free and a real step down in quality compared to their first two, I wasn't impressed at all and would be disappointed to see it at #1. I'd rather have Adele back at #1 over that... I make it their fourth album, I'm positive they had a debut album before Fallen. I guess this was before Amy Lee joined the band. Found it "Scorn" (1994) http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProductDetail...&sku=291276 Speaking of You Me At Six, where have they vanished to today? 20+3 ouch
October 12, 201114 yr And that probably adds more weight to the argument that his album will sell lots. He's going to be an album artist, that seems obvious from his type of music and fanbase demographic. i.e. XF drones? :w00t: Seriously though, very few XF artists manage to sell anything significant beyond their first album.

Found it "Scorn" (1994) That's not an Evanescence album. It's a Scorn album called "Evanescence". Amy Lee was one of the founding members of Evanescence along with Ben Moody. They had an album called "Origin" and a few EPs before "Fallen". Edited October 12, 201114 yr by WinterIsComing

October 12, 201114 yr WOW! We know the whole top 10 albums! And yah for Steps still being #2 - hope they can climb to the #1 position
October 12, 201114 yr I don't think Matt should end up lower than 7. Which is still not great. On the other hand he should have a top 2 album next week.
October 12, 201114 yr Author Evanescence seems to be holding well it did the same for You Me At Six last week, it probably drop tomorrow.
October 12, 201114 yr I dont know if this as been posted but MW say Evanescence sold almost 11k in yesterdays mids and Adele and Ed sheeran not far behind steps. Thanks Sunday. Looks as if the number #1 album sales will be even lower next week.
October 12, 201114 yr Thought Katherine Jenkins would be higher than that at least for a short time. LOL at Cliff Richard I thought he would plummet through the week but I guess he has quite a loyal fanbase and with album sales so low maybe its not that surprising.
October 12, 201114 yr I don't think Matt should end up lower than 7. Which is still not great. On the other hand he should have a top 2 album next week. yeah although unlikely to be number one, which might be seen as a failure by the label
October 12, 201114 yr yeah although unlikely to be number one, which might be seen as a failure by the label Yes probably. Expectations for XF winners are massive and they get labelled flops very quickly if they don't do as expected. The single has done worse midweek than Joe Mcelderry and the press were on his back very quickly. Be interesting to see which way they go.
October 12, 201114 yr Author Sales to last night: Evanescence 14,766 Steps 12,861 Adele 11,568 thanks to RobotBoy at moopy ======== So so so close
October 12, 201114 yr steps sold 441 copies more than Evanescence yesterday. Edited October 12, 201114 yr by Jez
October 12, 201114 yr Sales to last night: Evanescence 14,766 Steps 12,861 Adele 11,568 thanks to RobotBoy at moopy ======== So so so close true but I see steps have slightly pulled away from adele, so we might see steps #1 and adele #2 with Evanescence #3? by sunday
October 12, 201114 yr Wow, with those sales, Steps have actually PULLED AWAY from Adele, and GAINED on Evanescence?!?! :yahoo: :yahoo: :o :o Seriously could Steps actually get ANOTHER #1 album, 10 years after they split? I never, ever in my wildest dreams thought I would see the day. Thinking logically though, Adele is still the favourite for the #1 this week given that new releases almost always trail off as the week goes on. The only thing that might help Steps counteract this is their TV show tonight on Sky Living and their performance on Lorraine on Friday. It might, just might happen. So excited
October 12, 201114 yr Based on the above sales and yesterday approx total for Evansence / MW's mid report, I get the following:- # Act Tue Mids Wed Mids Tue Sales 1 Evanescence 11,000 14,766 3,766 2 Steps 8,950 12,861 3,911 3 Adele 8,750 11,568 2,818
