Oh dear...

X Factor judge Gary Barlow has admitted to not being as enthusiastic about Frankie Cocozza's presence at the live shows as he once was.

Cocozza landed in the bottom two on last week's show but was saved by Barlow, Kelly Rowland and Louis Walsh - who had earlier claimed the singer had lost his swagger.

"On Monday morning I was thinking I'd made the wrong choice picking him," Barlow confessed to The Sun. "I'm doing well with Craig and Marcus but it's Frankie, I just can't ever track him down."

The Take That star also criticised the X Factor contestants for being obsessed with fame rather than focusing on the competition.

"The trouble with the artists this year is they are all obsessed with Twitter and headlines," he said. "It feels like they are all getting a bit above themselves. We are constantly reminding them that they are in a competition. I had a word with all my contestants and I know Kelly Rowland had a word with hers. It's reality check time.

"We are all lucky to be here, we are lucky to be on stage and have millions of people watch us. You don't deserve this. We are lucky. I've found it draining. It reminds me of when I was on as an artist. It is chaos, you've got your nerves, the red light comes on and you're on. It's a lot of pressure. I feel really sick before I go on."

Barlow also confirmed reports that Simon Cowell has told the judges to up their game, saying they plan to improve the show by 10% each week.

He added that Walsh is "in Dublin all week" and "doesn't really care" about his acts. "I'm here to find a star and it's not Johnny," he said.

Even GARY doesn't want him now (the headline was 'X Factor's Gary Barlow: 'I regret picking Frankie Cocozza')

It is absolutely beyond me how Johnny managed to get into the top10, let alone the first round when the X Factor is supposed to be a singing competition. He can't really sing but like previous novelty acts such as Jedward & Chico, he is good entertainment and quite funny but no way does he have a good voice.

Kitty is singing

Live & Let Die

.

Another overdramatic performance then? I was hoping it wouldn't be, but I did love It's Oh So Quiet so I look forward to seeing Kitty progress.

I've also heard

Knocking On Heaven's Door

batted around for Janet, but it's not on XF updates with Johnny and Kitty's choices.

Would it really be too much to ask for the XF to stop reusing songs? There are THOUSANDS more songs out there, why do you keep picking the same ones? :(

On American Idol they have a list for each theme that the contestants choose from, which is the same every year (though they're not too bad at always re-using themes) because they need permission to use the songs, so they only actually have a certain number of songs under each theme. I don't know if it's the same with X-Factor, I imagine it may be, surely if it was totally free choice then they'd not be so predictable and use the same 20 songs every year?

Even Gary seeing sense about Frankie then? I hope he doesn't have longevity in the competition.

Brilliant song choice!

I don't think she'll be as good as the excellent Escala on BGT but it should be spectacular.

Hope Misha can Rock it for a 3rd week in a row. I will be out so won't be able to watch until tomorrow!

Remember, all publicity is good publicity. I don't buy it for a second. The Sun have created this to build up enough sympathy for Frankie to ensure he's not bottom 2 - but most likely still in the bottom 5. :kink:

Once the goldfish public have forgotton this story in 7 days time, Frankie will be heading for bottom 2 all over again. ;)

I don't think he would ever have been bottom 2 anyway, he'll obviously have the pimp slot (last) and the 'rebound effect' should keep him safe. Next week though, he is likely to be there.

No chance of Frankie going.

1) They will want him for the tour so that means they will manipulate him into the Top 8 like they did Katie.

2) All the newspaper headlines are about him and about Kitty both will be kept, any publicity is good publicity.

It is just a shame that some potentially good acts will be lost so that Frankie makes the tour :(

My enthusiasm for the series ended with Amelia Lily being evicted.

If Frankie was bottom two a second week running I'm pretty sure he'd be gone. That said I'm not buying that article full of 'quotes' from Gary. Smacks of fiction. Gary's too much of a pro to diss one of his own so publicly.

Katie was in the bottom 2 a number of times last year

I agree if a trend develops and he keeps getting bottom 2 but I think he is safe whatever he does for at least 2 or 3 more weeks.

The official songlist hasn't been posted yet. It normally has been by this time. Hmm.

Still not up... It's usually round about 6-7ish isn't it?

It was exactly 6:36 last week and apparently the same time the previous week. So it's now more than half an hour late.

Songlist up.
