I love a good media spin. Despite what the producers will tell you, Ashley was 100% axed from the competiton. The producers have taken a hard stance with throat infections this year to avoid bys etc. and they took the decision to get rid of him. Ashley has glandular fever, which speaking from experience is not something you can recover from in a week to ten days. Hence why they've taken the decision to axe Ashley.
