Another mention of Aiden Grimshaw here - Aiden looked way better with make-up than Marcus. I preferred Marcus' performance last week as well. It was still pretty ok though I guess.

Marcus - One of my favourite performances from his so far! A weird song choice on first glance, but his vocals and the performance made that seem pointless. He's really coming out as one of my surprise favourites of the competition. 9/10[/i]

Sophie - Not her best performance, but again it was very good vocally. I was just disappointed that she didn't go into the dance breakdown of the mid-noughties remix. 7.5/10

The Risk - Alright performance from them - a lot worse than last week's, but that was pretty special. I also felt the chemistry seemed to dissolve with the addition of Ashford. 7/10

Johnny - I will never like a performance of his. I dislike his singing voice, although his personality is growing on me, and vocally - it was a good performance. 5/10

Marcus - 7.5

Superstition was a predictable song choice. I was expecting him to sing the INXS song as well. Good performance.

Johnny - 8.5

Sophie 8.0

Marcus - 7.5

The Risk - 5.5

Another good performance from Marcus. WTF was with the INXS instrumental though?

2011 rates (week 4)

8.5 Johnny Robinson - That Ole Devil Called Love

7.5 Marcus Collins - Superstition

7.0 The Risk - Thriller

4.0 Sophie Habibis - Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)

I keep wanting to like Marcus a lot more, and I do, but the song choice wasn't good. It struggled to keep my attention. It annoys me because he is capable of so much more.

Johnny 6/10

Sophie 5/10

The Risk 5/10

Marcus 4/10

?

Thought it was FAB. Slow and shaky start but she really BROUGHT IT during the latter half of the song.

Didn't suit the song at all. Latter half was much better, but I thought it was going to go somewhere long before it actually did. Why bring out her cockney side all of a sudden in to her vocals? Think she knows she's as boring as the rest of the world does!

Marcus - Good performance but I'm not really crazy about the song, I think he's probably one of the better stage performers in the contest though. (bar Misha perhaps)7/10

Marcus - IDK. It's SO obvious he's got a really good voice, but I don't think they're actually giving him the right choice (which is actually a credit to Marcus, he's been given poor songs and he's doing well with them). Another performance that didn't leave me very interested, and another 7/10. 7/10

01 Sophie - That was kinda weird, but I really liked her newly adopted LET'S SING IN A LONDON ACCENT. It was fairly good, not amazing, but fairly good. 7/10

02 Marcus - IDK. It's SO obvious he's got a really good voice, but I don't think they're actually giving him the right choice (which is actually a credit to Marcus, he's been given poor songs and he's doing well with them). Another performance that didn't leave me very interested, and another 7/10. 7/10

03 Johnny - Well, that was actually pretty good. Very refreshing to see him actually singing (take note, Gary, actually GIVE Craig something different instead of just him talking about it). And, he can sing. 7/10

04 The Risk - The one reason why I preferred The Risk to Nu Vibe was because their harmonies were tight, which made the band so good. This week, and last week, the harmonies seem to have disappeared and they're no better than Nu Vibe? That was TOTALLY average. 5/10

LOVING Alexandra as a judge, she's so good with constructive criticism and really has something to say! She's really funny too ... kinda wish she was made a full time judge, she fits in nicely.

Marcus & Sophie were fantastic I thought ... Sophie really had an atmosphere about her performance and it was really engaging I thought, Marcus just has such a smooth soulful voice and that song suited him to a tee. The Risk were godawful, all over the place ... and Johnny is absolutely hilarious but his performance was just boring tbh.

If by that you mean it's equally SHIT I agree.

Playing catch-up! LOVING the decision to but BURKE in as KRO's sub. She has the attitude and sass to fill KRO's heels for the week.

HOWEVER. Easily the Risk's worst performance. The harmonies were sadly missing :(

Silas Rates - Week 4

I most certainly DO NOT, both are utterly FABULOUS.

Marcus pulls off a brilliant performance regardless of the suitability of the song choice. Love that about him. He can take anything on and even when it doesn't quite work he makes it look like it's working. That song choice wasn't quite THE ONE for him but again the perf was just effortless. He's very easy to watch (and not just because he's the finest twink ever seen on telly).

8.2 Sophie

7.6 Marcus

7.5 Johnny

5.0 The Risk

I wish Misha B(ully) would stop moping about and using it as a sob story.
