Well, there's all the confirmation we need that Rumour Has It is the fourth single. Hopefully it can return Adele to the top 10 although that will be dependent on if she's able/willing to perform it on the X Factor.

Good to see Chase & Status and Olly Murs still being supported :D I didn't really have any doubts about C&S but I wasn't sure if they were going to playlist DWMT or not.

The new Kelly Rowland song is really annoying and repetitive. She Ain't You is okay but not as good as Y3X or BP. And I haven't heard Kasabian's newie (it's pretty rare for me to have only not heard one of the new additions on the C-List )

JLS and Tinchy moving up this week, like I expected - I did think it was odd they stalled on C last week but it's a return to normality this week.

I half-expected they'd drop Paradise this week. Hopefully when they do drop it (which will probably be next week) 'Princess Of China' will replace it with haste.

Why were you worrying about Olly? Haven't they A-listed every single of his since Please Don't Let Me Go?

Yay for Kelly. I thought they would completely blank her.

Radio 1 has a tendency to suddenly stop supporting XF acts (see Leona and Alexandra - although they did actually properly support Collide after only giving C-List support to 'I Got You') and I thought the radical change in sound from HSAB to DWMT would present a good opportunity for that to happen with Olly. DWMT is a bit 'Radio 2' sounding as well.

I also keep thinking with every passing JLS single that Radio 1 are just going to start snubbing them but after stalling on C for two weeks TACOM is showing signs of being an eighth A-List single in a row for them.

Surprised they haven't playlisted the new Wombats single "1996" - they usually do - however I suppose "Our Perfect Disease" flopped so hard they may have given up supporting them.

Drake already off the playlist?!?!

Fantastic to see She Ain't You added though! That makes up for it.

Very disappointed to see Kelly Rowland added. Not that I don't like Kelly Rowland (infact, I love her tbh), just the song is awful. I'm so upset at how boring it is. If she had a good song, she could have a huge smash since she's a judge on X Factor.

Leona was only B-listed for Collide, I get the feeling they like her but are just waiting for better material, Collide wasn't great in my opinion.

It's rare that they swap where they put artists they don't seem to do on a song by song basis, Leona is a notable exception. Look at Charlie Simpson everything is B-Listed or Pixie/Professor Green it's always A-Listed. I noticed it happened for Birdy Skinny Love-A, Shelter-B, Help The People-A, just thought that was quite interesting

Not surprised The Wombats 6th(?) single off the album has been snubbed, they only B-Listed Our Perfect Disease (Which was glorious incidentally)

Why is Drake being dropped

Happy The wanted are though :P

Has Loick Essien jumped from C to A list or am I imagining that, it isn't very good anyway.

Happy to see Kelly Clarkson and Coldplay are still there.

I like the adds, Adele :cheer: , Kasabian, Chase & Status and I like the new Kelly Rowland song (braces himself)

Was she? I'm sure I remember seeing it on the A-List

I don't know if this has been asked before, but does anyone have, or know of, any kind of compilation of Radio 1 playlist runs? e.g. a playlist run could be C-B-A-A-A-A-out or C-C-B-B-out etc. I think it would be interesting to compare runs for different songs and just to generally see what songs have had the longest runs.
I *think* the most common progression (at least for A-Listed songs) is either C-B-B-A-A-...-out or C-B-B-B-A-A-...-out. I'm not sure though.

for A-listed songs its C-B-B-A. If you stay on the B-list for a 3rd week normally its not a good sign, unless somehow the release date was pushed further back, or if it was playlisted very early.
Why are they playlisting RHCP? Not sure how that fits in with their target audience... especially after the last single bombed and the album isn't doing well either

Well, they're always going to have rock songs on their playlist. They can get investigated by Ofcom if they don't have any rock songs in their playlist, apparently.

Can a song get directly from C-list to A-list or even skip C-list?

Yes. Calvin's Bounce went C-A I think and plenty of songs skip the C-list. I can't remember a song ever going straight to A-list though.

Arctic Monkeys - Crying Lightning, Florence + The Machine and Dizzeee Rascal - You Got The Dirtee Love and Jay-Z feat. Alicia Keys - Empire State Of Mind all went straight to A. There have been plenty of others too but I can't think of any.
Why did Empire State of Mind go straight to be A-List?! :o I know it got cherry-picked a lot, but that applies to a lot of songs. Plus, I remember at the time there being a lot of confusion over whether Young Forever or Empire State of Mind was Jay-Z's 2nd single.

Because of it going top 3. It was added straight to the A-List while 'Run This Town' was still on there (same happened with Florence + The Machine, YGTDL was put straight on the A-List while 'Dog Days Are Over' was still there).
