After watching last night's show, this is how I'd rank the performances :

1. Marcus

Impressive performance from an incredible performer ! He never fails to deliver, and I'm more and more warming to his personality.

2. Kitty

Yes, she has a bit of a carabet vibe, and I don't see what kind of music she could put out there, but she was definitely the second best performance of the night. Strong vocals, great presence. She isn't a very good dancer but she doesn't need to be one.

3. Misha B

I'm not really into her but she delivered her best performance so far.

4. Little Mix

I really like them but it wasn't a great performance. The dubstep bit didn't add anything to the song, but the middle 8 at the end was amaze since they're strong vocalists.

5. Craig

Good performance, he had fun, and it was nice to watch. Still not worthy of a popstar.

6. The Risk

Good performance from an average boyband. Nothing to be remembered though.

7. Janet

Disappointement of the week sadly. She's got potential but that performance wasn't good.

8. Johnny

Any upbeat song will make him sound like a novelty/mock act. He should stick to the ballads.

9. Frankie

I think we've got the worst X Factor performance EVER here (and I mean worldwide). Truly awful. And the most humiliating thing was Gary trying to defend him somehow. LOSERS.

Why do I get the feeling that Frankie won't be in the Bottom 3 ? :(

Hopefully I'm wrong, but his fans will know hes the most at risk this week and will vote more.. and so I wouldn't be surprised to see someone like The Risk or Craig in the Bottom 3

I've got this niggling in the back of my head as well tbh, I mean this is the same public who made Misha (who talentwise you can deny is definitely in the top 3) bottom 2

With the greatest of respect Bray, you're saying this at the same time as championing someone who forgot their words and by all accounts put in a very mediocre performance. I would suggest it's not so much the rest of us, but your perspective that's skewed.

And with the greatest respect to you, I don't see what relevance that has? I didn't say everyone else's perspective is skewed, I said I'm miffed at Marcus' popularity. I admit that's because my perspective is 'skewed' (at least in comparison to everyone else's) but that's still my perspective and I'm going to post it if that's what I think. I think Marcus is okay but in no way the best person in the competition like everyone else says.

Oh DO SHUT UP.

Alright, calm down :P I've only said it once, if it annoys you so much I won't say it again.

Like Marcus or not, he was the stand out last night with only Misha coming close (though I awarded decent points for Kitty, she wasn't as good as usual-perhaps I should do a Barlow and admit I lied?).

These are my rankings after last nights performances:

1. Kitty

2. Marcus

3. Janet

4. Little Mix

5. Misha B

6. The Risk

7. Craig

8. Johnny

9. Frankie

I only like the top 4 anyway.

Officially MIFFED at how overrated Marcus is.

I agree. To me, Marcus is pretty average and just another Bruno Mars/Olly Murs, and I like neither of them.

My rankings of last night's performances:

1. Misha B

2. Janet Devlin

3. Frankie Cocozza

4. Craig Colton

5. Little Mix

6. Kitty Brucknell

7. Marcus Collins

8. The Risk

9. Johnny Robinson

Janet still did well, considering she was out of her comfort zone.

Do you really consider Janet second? Someone who stumbled through a song and messed up lycrics of a song that was just over 90seconds long. Although considering you have Frankie third I seriously think there was something wrong with your hearing.

Whoever it is that ends up winning they need to stop following this Leona template and get something out in the summer to capitalise on the quieter charts. I'm not saying rush out a covers album for Mother's Day but there's a happy medium between releasing something after two months or waiting for ten.

Richard to work for Syco Records and tell them how to run a record company properly, and how to market their acts successfully. :D

You'd think Simon Cowell et al would've realised by now that it's not 2007 anymore (ie; slower placed charts).

The thing with SyCo is they're such a smaller record label. They only have 20 people working for them, and they have a lot of acts. They were going to launch Matt Cardle, One Direction, Cher Lloyd and Leona Lewis in such a short period of time, as well as give promo & marketing to Labrinth. It's not going to end well for some of them. Their strategy needs to be re-thinked completely. Leona Lewis also had the benefit of having such a brilliant lead single aswell - something a lot of SyCo acts don't always have the benefit of having.

Anyway from last nights performances, I thought there were some very poor song choices. Frankie was by far the worst, but he was given a f***ing abysmal song choice by Gary Barlow. Absolutely awful choice.

01 Marcus - Excellent performance. Good vocals, he is actually the song solo artist that could have a good solo career. He looks very comfortable with whatever song is thrown at him. So glad I put a bet on him to win before the show started :D

02 Little Mix - They're getting better every week. Some dodgy vocals, but it's hard to harmonize live. I'm really growing to like them now, hope they can far.

03 The Risk - Very poor vocals at the beginning, but I really like them. I do think they were better with Ashley in the group though.

04 Craig - Good vocals, but Gary bigs him up too much. I can't see him selling records unfortunately, although he does have a brilliant voice.

05 Johnny - I really enjoyed it up until when he started singing Pete Burns. I think the judges use him to have a go at Louis personally.

06 Janet - didn't think it was that bad at all really. Sure she is suited to ballads, but it's unfair to tell her to do an uptempo song then criticise her when they don't like it. She did look very very awkward and fake during the performance.

07 Misha - Still really don't like her, this week was no way near as good as previous performances either.

08 Kitty - It was very flat. Disappointing. Awful awful clothing choice for the beginning as well. Then she didn't help herself with her other choice of clothing. Sex DOES NOT sell on the X Factor (especially not when you look like a dog either)

09 Frankie - Blood awful. Awful song choice from Gary. He was so awkward singing the song. I didn't think he was so bad last week, but he was this week. He's definitely a goner tonight.

I agree. To me, Marcus is pretty average and just another Bruno Mars/Olly Murs, and I like neither of them.

Oh god! I know this is your own opinion, but in what world was Frankie the 3rd best last night! Everybody you've ranked below him was better than him! But I do think Janet was pretty good last night... Not her best, but it was nice to see her do something different... I'd probably rank her 7th.

EDIT: Oh, and regarding tonight's vote - If Frankie goes through, I will be so mad. I could see Kitty, Johnny, Little Mix or even the Risk being in the bottom 3! Before last night, The Risk were joint favourite to win but now they've gone waay down... But it would seriously make my day for Craig to be in the bottom 3! :D

Nope, my hearing's fine thanks. I really like Frankie, and Janet did her best considering it's not her style. As she said on Xtra Factor, at least she didn't stop. She carried on and picked it up really well.

I know Janet wasn't her best, but she still did really well. I like Frankie, and thought he did great.

I'd be happy for any of those four to be in the bottom. Don't want Craig. He's not my favourite, but he's still pretty good. :)

I fucking love this website sometimes.

I would love to be in the mindset of someone who believes Frankie and Janet "did well" last night. Yes we have the right to our own opinions etc but what sort of a brain interprets forgetting the words/talk singing/bad karaoke/flat lifeless performances to be acceptable and bring them "enjoyment". Where's the objectivity, why the delusion or is a case of being simply pleased.

Either way it is fascinating.

Or maybe just let me think what I want to? As you said, we all have our own opinions. I never said they were perfect, but they were good enough for me.

I'm all for having opinions because of course we are all entitled, but I just cannot fathom how anyone could seriously have enjoyed Frankie talking his way through I Gotta Feeling... Fair enough if you do but I can't get my head around anyone thinking that was even passable, let alone good...

I'm not stopping you from thinking what you think? More critiquing your opinion.

I love how when people hold such blatantly universally weak opinions they have no method to back-up or justify their lines of thinking. Instead opting to chuck out thought-terminating clichés and trite nonsense. This thread is the absolute perfect example of this continuously.

Fascinating sociologically.

Yes, but he was asking WHAT was good enough about them? It's called discussion etc.

Well, in that case...

What I liked about Janet's was that she tried something different. Yes, it didn't really work, and she forgot her words, but she still sang better than many people did last night, and recovered quickly from her mistake.

And Frankie, I like his voice, believe it or not. He's quite different to a lot of stuff I like, so I don't really know why I like him, but I do.

I really don't know what to say, except perhaps that THIS is why there are still years of life left in X-Factor.

I'm guessing it's the MALE GAZE (although even then, I don't understand how you could defend him).
