It's only one copy/paste a day. ;)

 

OK, not really - but it's a lot easier than doing the YTD's, at least!

 

Basically I copy the iTunes T1000 into a spreadsheet which splits out just the essential data (position/artist/title), then copy it into another that parses the above into three separate columns - which is essentially the raw data for the summary sheet you've seen.

 

The hard part was setting up the spreadsheets in the first place! :drama:

I hope JLS will be incredibly frontloaded and won't get their 6th number one. They're getting them just by default, extremely annoying. Only 'Beat Again' was not by default, as it got the second week at #1 and pretty good chart run. Maybe 'She Makes Me Wanna' too but it was holding up much worse than 'Glad You Came', then again.

 

I didn't think I'd say this, but Pixie for #1 somehow! That way it won't ruin her '#1 or not top-10' singles strike.

Haven't done this for ages. :lol: But as a pure chart geek, I can't miss this busy week.

Daniel, I think 'To The Stars' isn't even that dubsteppy! It crosses with the late Pendulum work more. I really like it, it's my fav release of this week.

How do you mean they are getting them by default? They are selling large quantities of records and have a very good promotional engine behind them.

Looks like TACOM is heading for #1 then :D Not complaining, I do like the song, easily their best 'ballid' single to date.

 

And I'm guessing 'Unstoppable' is the B-Side? Credit to JLS, they are one of the only non-indie/rock acts that still do an original B-Side for every single.

 

'I Need' could go top 10. I wish he'd release one of his actually good songs as a single though. Both 'Let Me Go' and 'I Need' are very poor compared to some of his other stuff :(

 

'Off The Record' isn't doing too basdly, fingers crossed it can go top 10.

 

No Beef is doing far better than I expected! Could finally give Steve Aoki a second top 40 hit :o

 

Ouch at Modestep currently being behind NICKELBACK (and JLS' B-Side), it's not going too well so far...
