November 8, 201114 yr As long as she sells albums in the US then she will keep releasing music. She might not sell as much as her first two albums but will still sell a couple of million copies I assume you mean a couple of million copies worldwide, as 'The Gift' hasn't sold 2 million in the USA yet. I agree though, SuBo will probably keep going for a while, STWOM may not have repeated the chart-topping success of IDAD and TG but it's still done pretty well and she could continue to make a decent amount of money if she keeps on releasing a new album every Xmas season. November 8, 201114 yr Rihanna should overtake JLS then, although they probably won't fall as much as Cher did and still be a safe number 2, amazing to see Florence keeping SuBo off the top :D hopefully it will stay there, Coldplay should overtake Cher by Sunday too

Yes Worldwide, not sure how many she'll sell here but i presume she'll go Platinum. She is fast becoming Simon Cowell's Christmas cash cow
November 9, 201114 yr Official charts twitter Wow Susan, less than 1500 copies separating you and Florence in today's Official Albums Update!Who's gonna win? @SYCO_NEWS #susanboyle
November 9, 201114 yr Music week have susan Boyle at 1 but someone has posted a tweet saying she is still at #2 but 1500 between #2 and#1 are the MW mids wrong today
November 9, 201114 yr 'The Gift' wasn't THAT big. I assume you mean a couple of million copies worldwide, as 'The Gift' hasn't sold 2 million in the USA yet. The Gift is actually 3x Platinum in the US, meaning 3 million copies. http://www.riaa.com/goldandplatinumdata.ph...&perPage=50 Still, it sold almost half of what IDAD did worldwide.
November 9, 201114 yr Author Music week have susan Boyle at 1 but someone has posted a tweet saying she is still at #2 but 1500 between #2 and#1 are the MW mids wrong today  SuBo is #1, the twitter source is wrong, unless he or she got that the wrong way round.
November 9, 201114 yr UK Midweek Chart update: Boyle leapfrogs Florence 11:20 | Wednesday November 9, 2011 By Paul Williams Source: MW Singles On singles the Def Jam/Mercury single We Found Love by Rihanna featuring Calvin Harris is continuing to breathe down the neck of Epic signings JLS who are looking to score a sixth UK number one with the newly-issued Take A Chance On Me, which remains in the lead. The Syco single Earthquake by Labrinth featuring Tinie Tempah is in third place. Albums Susan Boyle has overturned Florence + The Machine’s narrow lead in the UK albums market this week as she looks to achieve three number ones out of three releases. Having on Tuesday been around 2,700 sales behind Florence’s second Island album Ceremonials, Boyle is now 1,400 sales ahead with her newly-released Syco album Someone To Watch Over Me. The reality TV star’s album has sold around 31,000 copies in the week so far, according to the Official Charts Company, while her previous two albums I Dreamed A Dream and The Gift both topped the UK chart. Fellow Syco act Cher Lloyd has now moved ahead of The Wanted with her debut album Sticks & Stones, albeit by little more than 1,000 sales, with Lloyd currently the week’s third biggest seller and the boy band’s new Global Talent/Island album Battleground in fourth place. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Wednesday Update Top 40 Only Singles 1 JLS 2 Rihanna/Calvin Harris 3 Labrinth/Tinie Tempah 4 Professor Green/Emile Sande 5 Cher Lloyd/Mike Posner Top 10 7 Pixie Lott David Guetta/Usher Top 15 12 Florence + The Machine Loick Essien Maverick Sabre Top 20 16 Bruno Mars [iWR] Top 30 Tinchy Stryder Afrojack & Steve Aoki Top 40 Rizzle Kicks [DWTT] Nicki Minaj ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Albums 1 Susan Boyle [31k] 2 Florence + The Machine [30k] 3 Cher Lloyd [26.8k] 4 Wanted [25.6k] 5 Coldplay Top 10 Andre Rieu 9 Birdy Top 15 Pink Floyd [A Foot In The Door] Top 20 Pink Floyd [Wish You Were Here] Top 30 Diana Ross Sigur Ros Top 40 31 Florence + The Machine [Lungs] Deaf Havana =================================================== ARTIST UPDATES Singles Ed Sheeran [LH] 5+1, [TAT] 20+9 Maroon 5/Christina 5+5 Kelly Clarkson 10+7 Nicole 20+7 One Direction 20+8 Adele [sFTTR] 20+10 James Morrison 30+10 Albums Noel Gallagher 4+4 Adele [21] 5+5 Ed Sheeran 10+1 Matt Cardle 10+8 Rihanna 10+9 Jessie J 20+1 Adele [19] 20+2 Kelly Clarkson 20+3 Steps 20+5 James Morrison 20+6 Will Young 30+2 Katy Perry 30+4

November 9, 201114 yr Author That OCC tweet clearly says they are seperated by 1.5k but nothing about the order. Still I guess R1 will confirm later. MW seem to be posting mid reports daily now hopefully we get some confirmation soon. Also if someone wants to take a stab at a daily mid summary for the front page sent the summary to Jonny via PM
November 9, 201114 yr SuBo is #1, the twitter source is wrong, unless he or she got that the wrong way round. Doesn't surprise me that SuBo is #1, as of yesterday she only had 1 days sales v 2 for Flo, but 2 v 3 , 3 v 4, etc. was always going to be to her advantage.
November 9, 201114 yr Wasn't expecting Cher Lloyd to climb or is it just a case of The Wanted declining faster.? Never really understood Susan Boyle's appeal after the initial 'shock' first audition. She obviously has a lot of support tho!
November 9, 201114 yr Music week UK Midweek Chart update: Boyle leapfrogs Florence 11:20 | Wednesday November 9, 2011 By Paul Williams Susan Boyle has overturned Florence + The Machine’s narrow lead in the UK albums market this week as she looks to achieve three number ones out of three releases. November 9, 201114 yr Well Flo surley sold a lot of albums digitally after the X-factor performance. That was in her advance for yesterdays update. We'll have to wait if the X-factor boost can keep her in front of Cher and the Wanted for the rest oft the week too. SuBo might get the No.1 on Sunday, i see her album baught a lot as an X-Mas present.
November 9, 201114 yr So subo should do 65 to 70k. Cowell's stable aren't the huge sellers they used to be. Not surprised The Wanted have slipped. The are the male version of The Saturdays, huge radio support which helps them shift singles but a different ball game when it comes to albums. Edited November 9, 201114 yr by truly talented
November 9, 201114 yr I really wasn't expecting Cher to overtake The Wanted already :o Top 3 would be the cherry on the cake for her.
November 9, 201114 yr Wasn't expecting Cher Lloyd to climb or is it just a case of The Wanted declining faster.? Never really understood Susan Boyle's appeal after the initial 'shock' first audition. She obviously has a lot of support tho! Cher ist at 3.99 at amazon downloads, which makes her No.2 there vs. The Wanted at 7.49 - only No.28 DL-Album. Her and SuBos CDs are also cheaper there and they are well in front of the Wanted. In that close battle this week the right price policy seems to be quite important.
November 9, 201114 yr Yes I agree. When Amazon do that it gives a masive advantage to the album they choose. I still think even if Cher holds 3/4 this week she will decline quite quickly next week. I wonder what kind of sales they are expecting from her and what would be considered good enough. She's had a lot of hype. Edited November 9, 201114 yr by torresgirl
