If Marcus is intent on doing retro then the Grease soundtrack is just waiting to be mined. Grease Is The Word, Blue Moon and Born To Hand Jive would all be good choix.

 

Olly Murs and Jessie J have been confirmed for the 27 November results show. A shame Kelly won't be performing, but I'm guessing it'll be a hit regardless.

Janet should stick to slow songs she cannot carry off uptempo songs, I Want you Back did not work. I hope Misha does not get Dont Want to Miss a Thing or anything from Dreamgirls. Gary was confirmed to be doing the winner's single before the auditions started, wasn't he? But that isn't fair really, as he will probably cater it to his acts more than the others.

Nothing's been confirmed with regards to the winner's song.

Last years winners song idea was the best they've had so far. Getting each of the finalists to choose a song each that suited their style is by far the best idea they've come up with yet.

 

Don't think I can deal with another Barlow snooze fest. I do wonder if SyCo will have 2nd thoughts after Matt Cardle's single flopped .

Or better still, if they want an original song, give the contestants a chance to work with their mentors and co-write something?
